Our employer hired Century 21 Joe Hagan realty to provide us with a introduction to the Louisville area as part of the recruitment process. Two representatives from this office drove us around Louisville over a few days.I felt this was a complete waste of our time. One woman took us into the Churchill downs parking lot and proceeded to spend almost 15 minutes discussing the best driving route and parking strategy on Derby day. Another one insisted that we go into a house that was ging to be offered for sale. ( She could tell me the square feet, number of bedrooms or baths or even the LISTING PRICE!!! but she did try to sell me on the services of her friend...the interior designer of the house! COMPLETE WASTE OF MY TIME.) NUMEROUS times I had to remind them that the purpose of our visit was to get to know the cultural , recreational, educational and other aspects of this fine city. The realtor from century 21 kept tring to get us to go into homes...despite the fact that we indicated that driving the areas to familiarlize ourselves with the Loiuisville area was preferable to actually going into homes...as we had not yet committed to moving here. When I asked several questions about the area that I felt a real estate agent should know, I was shocked at how much she did NOT know! When we inquired about the possibility of finding quality homes to rent, she lied and said they were impossible to find and further that she could not help us find one.......Hmmmmm this is supposed to be relocation/ recruitment assistance. ( Funny it took me all of 1 day to find 2 perfectly great executive homes to rent) Clearly this agency is only interested in making money NOT in helping the people they are supposed to assist. ( I found out later that this agency has sued several other real estate agents for commissions that they did not earn. Hence the strategy of dragging into as many houses as possible, so they can falsly claim that you are a client and sue for any commission that someone else earns.)
