CARDINAL ELECTRIC SERVICE

Came as scheduled for initial roughing in of electrical (half day of work). They were also on time to complete the job after tile and paint were finished (several weeks later). Excellent work. Helpful in decision-making about the best approach to doing the lighting. Would definitely call on them again.

For three weeks, we have been calling to ask for help, multiple calls each week. We left messages and asked for a return call. We have several phone numbers so we wouldn't miss them. Needless to say, I am writing this because they have never returned our calls. It doesn't seem like a way to sustain a business, and I note that others seem to have had a similar problem when I look at other reviews. It is too bad because they do good work and are reasonably price. But I don't have time to keep chasing someone down. For that reason, we will not use them again and suggest that others consider our experience in looking at their business.

Initially, we were planning to do this job one way that was much more elaborate, but discovered that another way might be even better. After the bid and agreement, we actually changed the order to redirect the wiring differently and indicated that we would purchase the light fixtures. Cardinal Electric was good about crediting us with the light purchases we made - at full value. It still turned out to be a good deal for them because we significantly reduced their labor. They did not charge us any change order fees, but they still made a good profit.
We had also asked for new timer switches for our external lights in the front hallway. They had trouble finding the color match, so after a long delay, we agreed to a different color switch.
If there is any concern, it is that we had totally revamped the laundry room where the new lights were to go and had to wait until the timer switch issue was resolved before we could get the laundry room back to its completed shape. I understand why they would only want to make one trip to complete all the work; it just delayed the room completion. But it was no big deal.

I've used Cardinal for years but I've never reviewed them. They did a renovation project about 7 years ago on our bathroom and have been coming back to my house ever since. I was buying a condo for investment and the inspector questioned the electrical panel. I called Larry and he made time to come out very quickly (since our contract said my inspections needed to be done by a certain date). He did the inspection and let me know it was ok. I've had them do indoor and outdoor work and have always found them to be reliable, professional and nice to work with. Even tho this wasn't a big job, I wanted the opportunity to say thanks. And as usual, I'll be calling soon with another job.

Judge and Jason worked hard to problem-solve and get things just the way I wanted them in my 100+ year old home. I appreciated their friendliness, can-do attitudes, and especially their attention to safety.

Larry Mudd, the owner of Cardinal Electric, responded quickly to my request for an estimate. And he gave me the best estimate of the three I obtained.

Twice, however, there was a breakdown in communication about when the technicians would return to finish the work. They told me they would be back the next morning, a Friday, but they did not arrive. I contacted Larry, and Judge and Jason came the following Monday as scheduled. I reported a problem to Larry after they left, did not hear from him, and they arrived unannounced the next morning. If I had not been able to be home and constantly available, all of this non-communication would have been a huge problem.

In general, the technicians did an excellent job, and the price was fair. I am happy with the work and would use this company again.

Work went very well. The workmen were nice and respectful of our house and outside environment. We have used Cardinal Electric through the years since 2001 and will do so again as the need arises.

Their price is included in the price of the pool. They were here when the pool people wanted them to be here; it wasn't something that we scheduled.

Very professional, showed up on time each day. Had to wait two weeks for the motor for the exhaust fan for the bathroom, but it was about half as much as replacing the entire unit. Using lower wattage bulbs in the security floodlights has also worked out well, have not burned out a bulb since. They said the unit did not have proper heat dispersal for 100watt flood bulbs, which is why there were burning out quickly.

The only thing I did not like was when I received the bill/invoice, it was not properly separated into the different parts and labor/hours for each part of the job. Just one big run on sentence with each thing they did, and a total at the bottom. That being said, they were quite professional, on time, and very close to the budget I planned. Will use them again.

Cardinal showed up on time at 8:30AM. There was only 1 man as his helper didn't show up for work. Assessed how best to do the job with 1 person. Replaced outlets and switches and then worked on the light fixture replacements. This man worked tirelessly until 4:00PM. He didnt' even take a lunch break so he could get all the work done by 3:30. At 3:30 he called the office and got permission to work longer so he could finish the job. Everything works beautifully and looks beautiful. He hung the fixtures with precision so that they hang at just the right level. He definitely worked as though he is used to working safely with electrical systems.

Quoted price over the phone, very reasonable. The technician showed up on time and called ahead of time. Quick service and professional, he offered a good suggestion on how to set the line up and even set up a third power line in case I wanted an extra line in the future (at no extra charge of course). They simple sent me a bill and kept their original price. This second time I've used them and see no reason to use another electrical service

Excellent experience! The electricians were on time, were polite and professional, answered my questions, made good suggestions, and cleaned up afterwards. I was quite impressed and would not hesitate to recommend this company.

The owner had given us a quote a while back. When I called to schedule service, the owner called me back promptly and schedule service within 3 days. On the day that service was scheduled, two electricians showed up on time, talked over the work that needed to be done, and promptly and professionally completed the work. They were extremely knowledgeable and did a great job. I plan to have more electric work done and will definitely use them again.

I have used them and I am happy with them. Overall, they are excellent. They are very dependable and clean. They are very competent. They are very good at installing the electrical lights, TV wires, stereo system type of jobs. They are a little pricey but their quality is worth it. Their main people are very good. They are worth the extra money.

This was very good. They were there when they said they would be there, they were out quickly and did a good job. I would hire them again.

They did a great job and got to me the same day, a bit on the high side of price but do know what they are doing.

They responded quickly to us and came out to give us an estimate (unlike other electricians who wanted to give us an estimate over the phone without even seeing the problem). The workers did a good job and were very knowledgable. The were on time and worked hard. I'd use them again.

I was having a underdeck system put in and needed them to be here a particular day. Because of intense rain, it all got delayed a day. They came first thing in the morning, finished the outside work first so the deck folks could finish. They repaired a light (not requested originally) that I had broken and reinstalled it. They installed 3 new lights in my kitchen. This is the same company that did our renovation in our bathroom (which is why I called them again). I was very happy with that job. The job this time was done in no time at all and they even fit my other broken light job in. Nice guys. Cleaned up after themselves. Also note, they surprise you by billing you (which these days is amazing). I will have some more work in the future, and I'll only use this company. (Also, I did not ask the cost on the phone because I know that their work is quality and their cost is reasonable from my prior experience.)

We have used Cardinal before and are always happy with their work. Larry quoted the job, made reccomendations on light placement. Tim managed the crew that performed the work. They were great!!

They were very good. They arrived promptly and they were polite and clean about their work. They knew what they were doing because when I brought up some other work I thought I might need, they assured me that it was not necessary.

My husband and I bought a house and wanted several electrical changes done to it. We found Cardinal Electric highly rated on Angie's List so chose them to do the work. One man came to provide the estimate on the work, and 2 others came to do the actual work. We thought they were great--professional, kind, clean, and on time.

I would use them again. They answer the phone, quick to respond and priced fair.

Two workers came in and ran wiring for wall mounted fixtures in both bathrooms above the vanity. They capped off where the old wires were in the ceiling without needing to paint the ceiling. All other replacements went without a glitch. Their estimate was half of what another company provided as they were advising to replace more fixtures. I found them to be more honest and forthright.

They are a great company that we have used for years. There is no song and dance or trying to rip us off. We had other estimates for the same job that were ridiculous. Other companies told us there was nothing wrong with the electrical and just not to touch the wires or they went a whole different direction saying we needed to rewire the whole house. We will never trust anyone else besides Cardinal Electric. They are great.

They did a great job and stuck to the time frame they gave me for the project to be finished. They were a little higher in price than I had expected, but not to much higher than other companies in the area. They did the job exactly how I wanted it done.
