Jonathan Vest with Bryant-Burnett is an honest no **** **** individual. I had researched the replacement system I wanted and also wanted the outside condenser relocated. He evaluated my project and submitted a bid that was the lowest of five others, I had received. His two man crew completed the project in one day. They did a quality install and removed the old equipment and packing material from new system. Additional comment on Mr. Vest. He gave me a price quote for a quality air filtration unit. He told me his cost on item and markup. It was an honest business profit. The same item on the other bids was grossly overpriced.

The technician was polite, professional and went straight to work. They were done and had everything clean and working in an afternoon. There is no better feeling than having a new air-conditioning system switch on especially on a hot day.

Excellent work, fair price, good job--the a/c is working and it's almost 100 degrees. Very happy with their quick response and good work.

They were very professional and I think that they had a fair price. They seemed to do a good and professional work. We have been very pleased with the result this far. We could not really try it out until it gets hot but we were really pleased with it.

Arrived on time at 9:30 and finished up about 4:30PM.  Cleaned up debris, etc.  Gave me copies of all documentation and then sent me documents so I could claim a rebate from our local electric company (LG&E).  Personnel were extremely polite with over 20 years experience performing such work.  This was the 2nd time I used Bryant-Burnett - last time was at my residence and this time was at my 2nd home.  The equipment is first rate and American Standard is rated #1 by a well-known consumer magazine. They size the units correctly so that my electric bill is way below what others pay and far below my old system.  I estimate that I save from $50 to $175 per month in utility bills (varys with the season and temperature).  Its important that the unit is appropriate for the size of the house.  When they arrived, they had already looked up the property and knew the size and square feet of the residence before we even signed a contract.

Sometimes the person who comes is good and sometimes they are not so thorough.  They are not always punctual.  One time the guy never showed up and waited for long.  Then we called the company and they sent someone out.  They are a little pricey.  Their quality is pretty good.  They have been pretty responsive.

Problem was diagnosed incorrectly.  Without thoroughly examining problem, technician said he could "tell just by looking" what the problem was, and quoted a price to repair it that was hundreds of dollars more than what two competitors quoted for the same service.  As it turned out, his diagnosis was completely wrong!  Then tried to pressure me into purchasing an entirely new furnace, telling me mine was "getting old" and "starting to wear out."  Correct problem was eventually solved by a different company for a third of the cost quoted by this technician.

I called for an appointment because one of my Trane air conditioners was not cooling as well as it had been and my son, daugher-in-law and grandson were in town for the weekend.  They gave me an appointment for the next day.  The tech arrived on time but did not look professional.  He asked where the furnace was and I showed him the main house furnace.  He proceded to tell me that he needed to blow out the drain for the furnace and there would be an extra charge for the chemical used.  I was not given that information at the time I made the appointment.  He did not give me any idea of what to expect nor did he examine the exit area for the hose to be sure it was secured.  He connected a device to the drain hose and when he activated it the hose blew out of the sump pump drain and threw smelly debrise over a large area of the basement, including any items that were in the area.  I had to grab a couple of towels to clean it up.

I then asked where the air conditioner was and I told him but then explained that the furnace he "blew out"  was not the furnace for the air conditioner I needed serviced.  I showed him where the correct furnace which was upstairs and after looking at it he said he wouldn't need to blow it out  (so the fee I paid for the chemical was wasted).

I then took him to the AC and showed him which one it was.  He opened the cover and stated that probably the reason it was not cooling well was because it needed cleaned.  I left him to his work and went inside.  He called me outside and said he had cleaned it and connected his guage to it and it was showing a temperature difference which meant it needed more freon and said it would be another extra charge.  I asked how much and he told me $70.  Let me say here that he had not made any attempt to determine where the leak was before moving to refill it - this did not occur to me until later.  I said Ok and left him to the work again.  The next time he called me out he said a fluke had happened and that when he was adding the freon the valve blew out and drained all the freon from the unit.  I was now left with 3 guests and no air conditioner.   While trying to defend how he had broken my AC unit he told me that he found two of the nuts were loose on the unit - one of which covered the valve that was now broken.  He did not say why he did not tighten these nuts before starting to refill the freon.  He put a new valve in and said it was still leaking.  He said he would have to replace a section of the tubing which included the valve.  He would have to give me a price for it and it would include the cost for refilling my AC unit with all the freon because all of it leaked out when the valve blew.

He went to his truck to come up with an esitmate for the repair work and the freon and came back with an estimate of over $900.  His next statement was that I could probably get a new AC unit for about the same price and he could have one of their sales people call me with a price.

By that time I was so upset because I had asked for a simple clean and  had guests staying and no air conditioner.

I have since tried contacting Mr. Burnett twice but had to leave a message and have received no return call.  I am still without a working AC for the upstairs of my house.

They arrived at 10AM and installed the complete unit within the day and cleaned up after themselves. They removed the old system and carted it off too.  Work also included removing the UV light from the old system and installing it in the new system (used to eliminate mold).  They also kept the same air filter box from the old system.  They neatly patched up holes in the vents where a humidifier from the old system was installed.
Before and after the installation, they went over everything they planned to do and how to use the new thermostat, etc.
The new unit runs as smooth as silk.  I keep the fan on all the time and unlike the old system, I can barely hear it running.

John arrived on time and was very professional and courteous, just like his last visit.  He performed the maintenance check, explaining what he was doing as he went along.  I have used Bryant-Burnett for several years at two addresses, and have been happy with their service each time.

The house was getting warmer as the A/C kept running. It's an old system, so I feared the worst. I called and someone was here in less than half an hour. The man went and checked out the system, and just cleaned and charged it.  He told me it was in good shape and I didn't need to worry about it's imminent demise!  Pleasant, honest, helpful and there when I needed it! I couldn't be happier, and will definitely call this service again.

They are very efficient and do excellent work.  They have no problem doing some more tedious tasks.  I have never heard them complain
