Speaking from my experience, if I could give this company zero stars, I would. I have lived in my apartment for 3 years now and have never been more appalled and absolutely disappointed in the customer service that I’ve received. After calling the maintenance line multiple times to report a leak in the roof above my bedroom around mid-March, my ceiling finally fell through on April 1, 2018. By April 11th they had "fixed" the leak and "repaired" my ceiling. All was well until June 1, 2018 when I came home from work to a slit in my ceiling (on the other side) about 2ft long and dirty water was leaking all over my bed. After calling maintenance to alert them of the issue they sent someone (same guy who fixed the roof the first time) to release the pressure and someone to extract the water from my floor. The man who released the pressure in my ceiling taped a plastic bag over the hole and explained that that was the best he could do. Around 2am June 2, 2018 I was awoken by the another piece of ceiling falling down on my head and more water, wood and what seems to me to be moldy insulation all over my bedroom floor. Since that night, I have been sleeping on my mattress in my living room floor and it is now June 19, 2018. June 2nd, I called the maintenance line again to have someone come clean the mess that was made in my bed room due to the other piece of ceiling falling down. He sent Robert, a maintenance man, who did not do a very good job cleaning it up. (Video to prove) There were still instillation places, another water spot was created on my carpet, and he didn’t bother to empty out the tub filled with dirty water & instillation. I believe that he even used my broom to “clean” the mess. The smell that filled my room was what I believed to be hazardous to my health. I could not walk into my bedroom without choking on the smell of insulation and possible mold. June 3, 2018 rolls around and I still have a HUGE hole in my ceiling releasing any little bit of LG&E pumped into my apartment and no update. June 4, 2018 I called and spoke with Nicole Strinatka in Human Resources. I explained my situation to her and asked to speak to the leasing manager, Jill Austin. She explained that she was out and would potentially be in later. I didn’t receive a phone call from Jill but from John, the maintenance manager, at 11:15am. He acted like he did not know anything about what was going on. I explained everything and his response was “I’ll get someone over there to take a look.” Came home to another mess in my bedroom. (Wood pieces) June 6, 2018 they finally boarded the hole in my bedroom and with a note that said they would repair the ceiling after the next rain. June 5th-11th. I called to speak with Jill Austin and received no response back. June 12, 2018 I finally got through to the leasing manager. I explained how my living conditions were not habitable and that I would like to be released from my lease without penalty. I was told someone (John, maintenance manager) would have to come assess the damage and a decision would be made after that. Two days go by and I my roof started leaking again… June 14th the decision was made and I received a strong and firm NO from John stating that I would not be released from my lease. Moral of this story is that it is June 19th, I am still sleeping in my living room and the “newest” leak is not being taken seriously so I foresee this happening again in the near future. If you enjoy the run around and things not being fixed properly then Broadway Management group is the right fit for you. Otherwise, I would not recommend them at all.
