They are honest, fixed the issue and reasonably priced. They tested everything on a new car for me. They were done within 24 hours.

I have good luck with them. They replaced my brakes at a very reasonable cost, and at another time when I went in there they fixed the struts in the car and they also replaced an air filter for me at no charge. I went and dropped the car off and they drove me to work, which is 25 minutes away, and then at 5 o'clock they picked me up and brought me to their place to pick up my car. So, they kind of take care of what is wrong with your car and they are considerate of the person that they have to work. My overall experience with them was pretty good; I had good luck with them. They were the lowest price, I had even checked with the other one and they were higher. The staff there is very helpful and very nice. I would recommend their customer service, because they go above and beyond to help you out. Regarding their quality of work, when they first put in the struts they said well they may make a little bit of noise for a couple of days and they said if it lasts longer than that then come back. So that is what happened, there was a little bit of noise in the back in the rear on one side and it lasted three days. I went back and he said okay let me check it, he took it out and he said yes that one was a little bit warped, so he took that one out and put another one in. He checked to make sure it was correct. Regarding responsiveness, I called and they got me in that day. Regarding professionalism, they are very good.

I feel sorry for folks that go in who aren't at least a little knowledgeable about cars and brake systems. I'm no pro, but I inspected all the brakes when tracking down a problem in the right rear wheel. Based on my inspection and research online, I determined I had a relatively common issue with the right rear caliper. I took it to Brakeway figuring they could make that repair and I could get a new set of pads all around while they had it up on the rack. Boy was I disappointed. Even though I told them about the problem with my right rear, they found no problems during their 'inspection.' However, they did figure out that I needed both front rotors turned. I had just been in the wheel well myself. I checked all the rotors. They were good. At least as a non-professional, I was 99% certain the front rotors were fine. They presented me with an estimate of nearly $400. I told them I wouldn't let them turn the rotors. They said they couldn't do the work without turning the rotors because that would be unsafe and they couldn't let me drive like that. I told them again that I knew the rotors were fine but they were welcome to replace all the pads as they advertised (of course my make/model required the $199 metallic pads). They said they couldn't do that, but offered to call a tow truck for me because the car was 'unsafe' and they'd be liable if I drove the car of when they knew it was in such bad shape. It finally took the clerk to call the 'manager' to authorize letting me drive the car off. I had to sign a note on the estimate saying that I refused the recommended work and wouldn't hold them liable. What a load of bunk. I drove the car to my regular shop where I figured I might pay a little more for the brake job but it would be legit and fix the issue I was having. They confirmed my suspicion about the right rear caliper and repaired it. More importantly, they confirmed my front rotors were just fine too. They replaced my pads for about $180 and, most importantly, without the run-around about the unnecessary extra work.

We were real happy with them. The appointment times were very convenient. They checked with us before they did the work. They gave us several discounts on the work that we had to have done.

Took my daughter's '99 VW New Beetle in because the left rear brake was down to the metal. I knew that the rotor would probably have to be replaced. Brakeway advertises a $99 all brake special so we figured we could get out for not too much more than that. Larry (the front desk guy) called and told me that all 4 rotors needed to be replaced (not enough left to turn) and the front brake pads were almost gone. The cost to do the brake job with rotors was going to be $384. We decided that I could do the job on the rear myself and I'd check the fronts. I went to the local auto parts store and bought the rear rotors and pads for less than $50. When I pulled the wheels and got into the job I saw that there was plenty of rotor left -- in fact, they looked fairly new (except for the score marks in the left rear one). Pulled the front wheels and was surprised to find that the pads were hardly worn and the rotors looked perfect. Don't be taken by Brakeway's "come-on" special. They lie!
