"We are not in the business of misleeding any one. A one piece fiberglass unit cannot be covered with a liner. We removed the fiberglass unit and replaced it with a new acrylic tub, (at no extra charge) we added drywall to the studs to build out the wall and give the customer a good foundation for the acrylic walls that we were putting up. We also replace the mixer valve new and added a new trim kit, along with other accessories they wanted at a more than fair price; about 1/3rd to 1/2 the cost of a new remodel. In order for the customer to get a new one piece fiberglass unit into an already existing bathroom would have been near impossible without some major renovation taking place, the one piece units are not made to fit into an already exisiting structure, nor be removed in one piece, Hence, the reason we had to tear out the existing structure and replace it new. Most steel and Iron cast tubs can be covered with a liner, we strive to give the customer the best servicce for there money, which includes a new tub in situations where we are putting up new acrylic walls, rather than cover over a old one with a liner, at the same cost of a liner. We do believe you get what you pay for, but the other alternative to what we do, and the service we provide, and the value the customer gets for their money is a whole new remodel which is a lot more time consuming and expensive. Just ask anyone who has been through it. We are usually in and out in one to two days, compared to a week or more going the other route. I hope this explanation was helpful. "It looks like the overall experience this person has had was very good, with the exception of the stripped out nozzles, which I can understand being frustrated with that, but after doing research on this customer I can find him no where in our data base, or in our files from that year...I can only say to him it was not this company that installed his walls.
