They cleaned the throttle plate and injectors.  Added cleaner to gas.  They also did an overall check and recommended spark plug changes but said I could schedule and delay the maintenance with an appointment and minimum wait time.

Overheated badly driving to work. This was 1 of the zero degree mornings. Had towed to Atwood Auto on AAA recommended local shops.
They diagnosed with cracked radiator. Called me with needed repairs about 9:30. Was ready by 2:00. Very pleased with communication & honesty.
Heat wasn't very good before this and about the same after. Took back following week to see about improving heat. Flushed out heater core, in both directions, reporting a lot of muck came out. Not surprising, truck is 20 yrs old.
Will do business again.

Excellent communication, and very fast turn around. Much cheaper than other quotes I got. The thing with Willie is you always know exactly what is going on, and he doesn't try to squeeze money from you. He's upfront with his pricing and is excellent at communicating. I've dealt with Atwood Automotive on a number of occasions, and I've always felt completely comfortable, and that i could trust their honesty.

The repair was quick and cheaper than the original quote. There are several people in my office that take their vehicles to Atwood Automotive and I have never heard one complaint. Willie is very honest when it comes to repair suggestions. I have recommended Atwood Automotive to several of my friends. I was under the impression that all auto repair companies were out to make as much money as possible but I truly believe that Atwood Automotive is in the business to help the customer.

Willie always gives me an estimate that is accurate and fair based on what he knows about the work to be performed. If he finds something we missed, he is great at calling me before going further so I can decide whether I want the additional services. Willie is also good at estimating how long service will take. I've been taking my autos to Atwood for at least five years and will continue to do so.

I have booked my truck into Tri-County Ford in Biuckner who will strip down the transmission, verify the problem, and replace the transmission if warranted. I'll update this report after service is complete.nvolved

I took my truck to Tri_County Ford in Buckner to check on the problem. They ran a number of diagnostic tests, and kept the truck for 5 days and 120+ miles to try and re-create the problem, which they could not. They were of the opinion that the transmission may have been trying to shift into 4 wheel drive, which was what I suspected. They only charged $58.00 for the testing. It is possible that a speck of dirt in one of the actuators was blown clear with pressure testing. Final result, no problem found and I am out $58.00 instead of $3,000.00. The truck has run fine for the last two weeks. I am very pleased with the level of service from both Atwood Automotive and Tri-County Ford.

Final bill came in under estimate price. 12,000 mile/ one year warranty on parts and labor.
