Generally we sent a bill after an office visit to the doctors that explains clearly what has and has not been covered within about a week. They are very good with communicating with us via mail and when we have an issue with our bill that is not clear there is generally someone available to help explain what we are being charged for, if a claim has or has not been submitted and whether or not we will need to take action in order to rectify a mistake. Overall I'm very happy with our insurance although I do miss having military insurance where you literally owe nothing each time you receive a bill.

I have had insurance through BCBS of KY on and off for years. I have been with my current employer for 4 plus years. That whole time has been with BCBS. I found them to be easy to deal with. Claims are paid promptly. They are pleasant with I have questions. I wish deductibles were lower but in this day and age, I am just glad I have a job and more happy I have insurance!!

Our insurance premiums went up significantly from last year for no apparent reason. We had no extensive medical expenses or hospital visits the previous year. When I called to try to find out why our premiums went up so drastically, the customer service rep just stated that it was to cover the increasing health care costs. The only options they would give me was to have a higher deductible....no other explanations or help. Our deductible is already pretty high....might as well not even carry insurance if that was an option. Would not recommend Anthem, but don't know who else to get my insurance through that would be any better.
