It went horribly. I went into the store in December and found they had priced it for over $200 with a 90 day expiration date of 2/22/19. I talked to them about it in early February to see if it had been sold or if I needed to pick it up. They couldn't locate it and said it hadn't been sold. They said they would check with their eBay department and would call me back. They never called me back. I went back two more times and I was told it was in the eBay warehouse across town and if I gave a specific date, it would be returned to the Shelbyville store. I returned on that date only to talk to the store manager Lisa who said THEY HAD DISPOSED OF IT EARLY AS A SEASONAL ITEM AND SUGGESTED IT WAS AN INFERIOR JACKET ANYWAY. I never got the coat back or any money. I never even got an apology therefore I would never use them again.
Description of Work: They were supposed to consign my husband's Harley Davidson leather jacket. It was rarely worn, was in excellent shape, and was from a non smoking family.

My experience with her has been good. They price things fairly and when they sell something for you they have an efficient way of getting your money back to you.
Description of Work: We sold some furniture through Annie's Attic. You get half of what your furniture sells for.

I was supposed to come back to pick up the armoire but my neice passed in a car wreck the day after I purchased it. They called on the day of my niece’s funeral and told me I had to come that day to pick it up. I picked it up two weeks later and they told me that they had put it back on the floor and only would refund me half price for it. They ended up only sening me $114 for a $790 armoire. They told me I should have come and picked it up at the time they scheduled and that everyone has deaths in the family and that it’s no excuse. She also threatened me to not go to Angie’s List or BBB and leave a bad review or I would be “sorry” and that I would be banned from their store. She told me over and over that I had accused her of stealing, but I had never once said that.
Description of Work: I went in and paid full price for an armoire at their store.

Response from Annie's Attic
[Member’s name] purchased an armoire from Annie’s Attic in January of 2012. Our policy is to pick up furniture with 7 days of purchase. After 7 days we started calling [member’s name] and left many messages with no return phone call. At 30 days our policy is you abandoned the piece and we put it back up for sale at the price you paid. The armoire went back for sale on February 21, 2012. [Member’s name] finally came back into the store to shop and had explained to us that her niece had been in a car wreck and had died and that is why she hadn’t been back or called us back. She stated at that time she would try to get a truck by to pick up the item and if it sold first that was fine. We explained to her that she could pick it up anytime while it was for sale. The armoire sold 3 months later May 26, 2012. Her check was picked up and signed for by [member’s name] in June of 2012. [Member’s name] continued to shop in Annie’s Attic for the rest of the year with no complaints. In March 2013, [member’s name] called to say she was doing her taxes and that she had never been paid for the armoire. We sent her a copy of the signed check stub and that it had cleared our bank in June 2012. She states someone forged her signature. After that [member’s name] called every day for the next 5 days, yelling, crying and harassing me about us stealing her armoire and her niece dying. Some of the calls were over 30 minutes in length. During that same 5 days she would then and again call and say she was sorry for the previous phone call and that death made you upset, I had agreed with her as I had also had a family death in that same time frame. On the fifth day of her calling I explained to her this was insane and there was no sense in repeatedly going over the armoire issue she had been paid and it was over a year ago. I asked to please do not call or shop in the store ever again as my staff and myself were being harassed. I have not heard from [member’s name] since then, except when she continued to harass me by reporting Annie’s Attic to Angie’s List a few weeks ago. As far as the resolution she is asking for, I have already paid her for the armoire and she cashed the check over a year ago. This is about an even that took place in January of 2012 and is now 1 year and 7 months old. There is no apology owed to her and I have the rights to refuse service to anyone harassing my staff or myself. I have this policy posted and I adhere to that right. [Member’s name] is not welcome back into Annie’s Attic. I would like to add that I tried to call the person in charge of my case on two separate days 7-11-13 and 7-12-13 and left a detailed message with no call back. I would have liked to have discussed this in person and have known my rights as a business owner with the length of time that had gone by.
