Everybody else I called, and I called all the way from Elizabethtown all the way through Brandenburg, and some places in Louisville and nobody would come out; and he did. This was the first time I had used them.

It turned out good. Cost wise was reasonable. I think, it was like $3,500 for the furnace and I think, I paid another $2,000 for the duct work, because I had all my duct work redone. They come whenever I call them. I’ve got them on speed dial. Their work is good, neat, very clean. The owner Keith, is a very nice guy, very responsive. I could call him any time day or night and he would come. He is very reliable.

The reason we used this company was because our home warranty assigned them to us.
They were able to come out the next day to look at the furnace and showed up on time.
We have a 2 stage furnace and they replaced a "faulty" ignitor on our 2nd stage, and stated it was work appropriately afterwards.
I had a chance to inspect it more and check to see if it was working properly later that evening and noted that the 1st stage was no longer working appropriately.
I tried to contact them daily for 5 days and they would not call me back.  I contacted my home warranty company, and they tried to contact them twice and could not get a response.
I eventually got assigned another company and they fixed the problem, which was the flame sensor was too dirty to detect the flames and so would not fire appropriately.   I even wonder if the ignitor even needed to be replaced the first time, or only if they needed to simply clean the sensors.

Technician came out to fix HVAC that went down.  He replaced multiple parts and left.  A few hours later HVAC stopped working again.  Called another HVAC company, and they said they had no idea what Air Max fixed, the actual problem was the compressor.  Not sure he even inspected the unit.  Terrible HVAC organization, don't recommend.

This was a frustrating company. We had to call them 2x to get a response. They called and said were in the area, okay if we come over but then they were 2hrs and 45min late. Husband opens door and worker walks straight into house and down basement (had been there 1x before) (didnt know if our dogs were up) with no explanation of what insurance is covering or the job they were going to do. They blamed my husband for putting our thermostat in wrong but they used it. They didnt address the ductwork and didnt send paperwork as stated.

Used this company because of a home warranty with First American Buyers Protection. What a mistake. Called first thing Monday and they took my credit card payment and it is Thursday afternoon and they still haven't showed up.  Completely unrealiable. Avoid them at all cost.

We set up a claim with our home warranty company and Air-Max was the company they sent to us. A man and his wife came out to do the work. They arrived about an hour late, but once they arrived, the man got down to business and got our air working again. As they were leaving, they asked if we would be interested in paying an extra $135 for a special "Preferred Customer Agreement." From what the man had explained to me, my understanding was that if our heater or air-conditioning needed to be fixed outside of regular business hours, they would come out and make the repairs with no extra fees for being outside of regular business hours. The agreement also came with discounts on any equipment or parts purchased and installed, a discount on preventative maintenance, an extended warranty on all work completed, and a free cleaning of the air conditioning unit in the spring and the heating unit in the fall. It sounded good to me, so I paid the $135.00. I figured that in the case of an emergency, it was good to have that as a backup. Big mistake. When our air conditioning stopped working this afternoon, we called Air-Max and explained our situation. The man said that we had to go through the home warranty company if we wanted them to come look at our unit. And now I'm wondering why they got me to pay $135 when I will need to pay the $100 to my warranty company regardless of whether I signed up for their "Preferred Customer" agreement or not. When I tried to call them so I could have it explained to me, they ignored my phone calls. I will never deal with this company again. I am also going to strongly urge my warranty company to not give them any business in the future.

The person that originally came out to assess the situation was very nice. The problems started once the assessment was complete and we never heard from them again. After calling the company at least 3 times and leaving messages, I contacted my home warranty company to find out whether they knew anything about the repair status. From my home warranty, I learned that AirMax had to order a part. I tried to call AirMax 2 more times to schedule the follow up appointment, left messages, and never heard back from them. On the 3rd try, someone finally answered the phone (Tuesday) and said the part came in last Saturday and that I couldn't get an appointment for repair until the following Tuesday (a week later). Then, the only time that they offered me was 10:00 am, which was not convenient for me, but I felt like I had no choice, as no other dates/times were offered to me. If it wasn't for my home warrently company, I would never use them again.  Overall, it took them over 2 weeks to complete the repair.

It went terrible! Getting a call back from these guys once they were out was like pulling teeth. Caught them in many lies along the way as they would tell me things like a part is being shipped and would arrive in a week when I'd already spoken w/ the warranty company and knew that the part was waiting for pickup at a local part warehouse... the second time for a week(!) before they bothered to go and pick it up. They would arrive hours late for appointments. I would've switched companies part way thru, but was warned by the home warranty company that the process would just be prolonged even more. Since it was the middle of winter and I was already without heat for 2 weeks I didn't want to prolong it any further. I filed complaint against them with the home warranty company as well.

I picked them because they had a contract with my home warranty company. They came out the next day. The man who came out was pretty helpful. The price listed is for the maintenance agreement. I did check prices and that is reasonable for that particular service.
