They were punctual, and the price was decent. I have used them previously on my other house, and I was pleased with them.

A NEVER AGAIN moment! Initially, a nice team and work done swiftly.  Within days a 14 year old roof that never leaked began leaking.  Called the company and they came back out. Showed them the leak under sky light and buckling dry wall above the fireplace.  Put caulk around the sky light and said the drywall was due to the house settling and they left.  Later the water spots returned and contacted Matt Norton and another crew was dispatched.  Company came back out and this job supervisor said they messed up the sky light and chimney.  He did not have what he needed to fix it but would lay a big line of caulk to help reduce water.  This team did come back were saying the leak was due to the prior installers rather than AE because a "J" channel was not used on the chimney.  He would install one for $150; had already consulted with another roofing expert at HKC and a J channel was not needed.  HKC said a J channel in this situation would have created a dam and made water retention around the chimney worse.  AE rep continued to advocate that the $150 upcharge was needed; called HKC and the two reps discussed via my speaker phone.  AE rep no longer insisting on upcharge.  Team left and has never returned.  Water leak continued and frequent contact with Matt Norton continued for several weeks regarding the repairs needed to correct their initial work.  Matt said, "I have it in front of the owners"; same type of response to all of my follow up calls.  Ultimately, told Matt that we had been corresponding via email and if there wasn't resolution soon, would need to move to a more formal route.  Matt responded by sending me a letter from an attorney stating the company's position that the leaks were not their responsibility.  Had an attorney reply confirming that the leaks began after their work.  Had 4 more roofers look at the repairs and all stated that AE skipped crucial step (putting down step flash) and the big line of caulk was a poor attempt to stop the leak.  Most of the other roofers agreed with HKC assessment that a J channel was not needed. Hired HKC to fix the faulty roofing job completed by Affordable Exteriors.  HKC was fantastic and even provided pictures of the problems before they started.  Once Affordable Exterios roofing errors were corrected, had to move inside and hire someone to repair the drywall over the chimney and a painter to paint the ceiling.  personally painted the walls to save money  Using Affordable Exteriors to fix the storm damage cost slightly over $1,000, a lot of time, and a ton of frustration.  Absolutely will NEVER USE THIS COMPANY AGAIN. I hope Angie's List can help others avoid this nightmare of a company.  As the reps from HKC stated, the damage stemmed from a simple, basic roofing 101...use step flash around windows/chimney.  The item skipped was not expensive for the company but very costly for the homeowner who trusted Affordable Exteriors.

We are very happy with the results.  The company had to return for a minor adjustment to the to the top cap and base on one of the columns.  We have used this company in the past, and would use them again.

.It went very well.  The installers were prompt and efficient and thoroughly cleaned up after the installation.  We had used them before at a previous home, and when we moved to this home a few months ago we didn't hesitate to call them again.

After waiting quite a while for the quote, we finally received it via phone. When we met the agent to sign the contract, we discovered he was not quoting on the fence we ordered. He recalculated the price and said it would be an extra $3000, but would split the difference. We gave him a down payment and waited for delivery of the fence. Even before they started erecting the fence we kept receiving letters requesting final payment. When they began work they cut through our neighbor's phone line and drilled through our gas line. Subsequent workmanship left a lot to be desired. Rather than correct the problem they wanted to knock a few hundred dollars off the price. Because of what we paid for this fence and the fact that it was embarrassing to look at, I insisted they fix the problem and actually had to tell them how. When I would call for them, it would take days before I received a return call. The fence is guaranteed against chipping, fading, peeling, but when I found a hole in a panel they said that was not covered and it would not be worth their effort to fix it.

It started very well. The sales person came out to quote the job. He was on time, friendly and offered many suggestions. Once we signed a contract and made the deposit, they recommended we schedule the job because they were running 3-4 weeks out. That turned out to be 6-7 weeks. The first time they showed up it was without an appointment!! We had no idea they were coming. We did a walk around with the work crew and they looked at the gutter material. After 7 weeks, the color of the gutter material was wrong. If we didn't ask to see the material I am sure they would have put of the gutters and moved on. It took another 3-4 days to get the correct material and hang the gutters.

THE SALES PEOPLE AND ESTIMATOR WERE VERY PROFESSIONAL. THEY SHOWED UP ON TIME, AND THEY FINISHED WHAT THEY SAID THEY WERE GOING TO DO IN THE TIME THEY SAID IT WOULD TAKE. THE FINAL PRODUCT IS VERY GOOD. IT HAS A LIFETIME WARRANTY. I HAVE BEEN HAPPY WITH THE RESULTS.
