TRI STATE HOME IMPROVEMENT

I received several quotes (verbal) from different contractors. I chose Tri State because they were the contractor that could start the soonest. Then they did not show up until 10 days after the original schedule date. I called several times and finally got a receptionist. I was told I was never scheduled on the date I was told. Then the job began. The job took nearly 2 and a half weeks to finish the siding portion because during the installation the man working on the siding had his helper quit and was forced to do all of the work by himself. During the install I noticed that the siding being used was not of the higher quality grade I had requested and received a quote for so they upped the price because he said he did not quote the higher quality. Then the windows would not open after the install. After that he said he had to add on more money because he said he did not include the shutters. Finally comes the gutter install. The gutters and caps were installed (leaf guards were not put on). Same story, he did not include these in the quote. I complained about this continuing to add on and the leaf guards were not added on to the bill for all of my troubles. After the job was completed none of my exterior lights worked and I had to repair them myself. Both contractors left a mess around the house (siding and gutter pieces). I gave up on getting them to clean it up because they had already received payment. The house looks great and the siding contractor knows what he is doing when installing siding. You can not see any seams and the siding is straight with no ripples which is hard to do on a 25 year old house.
