 + -1 moreI spoke with the manager about refunding my warranty as I have not made a claim against it up to now. I was told that there was nothing he could do. I am upset because the warranty details should have been made available before purchase. The salesman knew I was concerned about cats and he should have said that warranty does not cover scratches. The manager should have made it right and either refunded my 79.99 plus tax or done something comparable. I will never shop there again no matter how good the prices!
Description of Work: I purchased a leather chair in 2008 from Value City Furniture on Sir Barton Way in Lexington. It is still under the extended warranty I purchased. When my cat put several scratches on it, I was told that the warranty does not cover pet scratches. This was EXTREMELY misleading because that was what I voiced concern about to the salesman at the time of purchase and he said that I should buy the 7 year leather protection warranty. The brochure they give you says it covers "human and pet bodily fluids" and "rips, tears or burns". What you DO NOT find out until AFTER purchase is that cat scratches are NOT included. That exclusion is in the folded up paper work taped to the leather cleaner box. Had I known ahead of time I would have NEVER purchased the warranty as that was the reason for purchasing it in the first place. All of the exclusions should have been made clear IN WRITING at time of purchase.

 + -1 moreTerrible! They should have credited my credit card the day of the return. I have had to call three times and visit the store twice. They say they have to credit me the way I paid for the sofa - via my card. This has not shown up and it's been two weeks. I actually paid for the sofa at the end of August, but the sofa was on backorder. So it wasn't delivered until the 17th of September. They picked it up the 21st. I'm still waiting to get my money credited back. Beware if you purchase something there and return it. No other place to which I've returned things has taken this long. It's not the card company. They can't find out what's wrong. They said at first it takes 72 hours. Now they are saying 5-10 days. Each time I talk with someone, I get a different answer.
