It has not gone well. I had to wait an hour to get the key to the unit as the manager was gone to get lunch for everyone, and no one else was allowed to rent me a unit (which was odd as several people were there working -- why can't they rent units too? Does he work every hour the store is open?). Then, at the end of the first month, I paid my bill on time. And I was charged a late fee, even though my check had cleared BEFORE the deadline. Since then, I have called four times asking to have the late fee removed. Every time, the phone is transferred to a national call center as no one picks up at the New Circle Road store. They have sent messages to the manager, who is the only person who can remove the fee, but he does not do so. I am going to have to drive over there in person and get the fee removed IF the manager is there. It's only $15, but it's so shady to charge someone a fee when it's not due. I would definitely choose someone else for storage in Lexington. The rental rate is comparable at U-Haul to other places, but the service is terrible and more hassle than it's worth.

The truck was definitely an older model, but it served its purpose. The only real problem with the truck was that the outside mirrors did not adjust well, making it more difficult to change lanes. The truck was very clean, both in the cab and the bed. The furniture pads were very clean, and the furniture dolly was brand new. The staff was courteous and professional, ensuring that they fulfilled what I requested. The process for renting the truck as well as returning it was quick and painless. Overall, I was very pleased with my experience.

It was a good location. Overall, everything was good and I will use them again if I need to in the future.

I reserved the truck through U-Haul's website. It was ready to go when I got there. The customer service person explained the rules regarding filling the gas tank and insurance, and gave clear instructions on how to return the truck. The truck didn't give us any problems. When we returned it two days later, check-in was fast and easy. Really good choice for self-service moving!
