SUNTIME POOLS & SPAS

Things went as normal from years past.  However, I was surprised about several things.  There were some leaves left in the pool (as if not all the debris had been vacuumed out) and several large piles of algae were dumped on the grass and left behind to dry (pictures available upon request).  I was worried about the grass possibly being damaged and wondered why the pool wasn't thoroughly cleaned as in the past years.  So I called the owner as one would do and left a voice message politely stating my concerns.  The son (who opens and closes the pool each year) intercepted my message and returned my call.  In no uncertain terms, he was very rude in his telling me I complained each year about the service and he didn't appreciate it.  (As a side note, I had never complained about the service.  If I had, I wouldn't have used them year after year.)  He went on sounding off and acting extremely unprofessional.  I was in a bit of shock because his accusations were false, he was treating me as if he never wanted my business again, and accused me of not taking his advice about purchasing a new, very expensive cover...ours had a few small holes.  We are now searching for another company on Angie's List to close our pool next month.  Even if I wanted to use Suntime, I would be gobsmacked if he returned.  Maybe he was having a bad day.  But if that was the case, I would  have expected an apology.  I wonder if his daddy knows how he acts.  Not the way to do business or to grow it.

Everything went great except for a little miscomunication  with setting up the initial time for inspection.  Charles did a thorough job with inspecting the pool.  When he had his report completed, he explained everything to me and gave verbal instructions on care of the pool.  I was a little nervous about the care of the pool, since we never owned one before.

See above but the icing on the cake was when I came in after my wife, literally a couple of hours, with the same pool water.  I did not know she had been in and they did not know we were related.  When they ran the pool water I brought in and the testing report said I need 19 lbs. of alkalinity up.  My wife's report on the same water hours earlier said we only needed 3lbs of the same alkalinity up.  They could not give me any reason for this discrepancy.

We chose not to go with them because it was not a complete solution. We needed a deck and they wouldn't do that.

This company has serviced my swimming pool for over 20 years. Their service is always prompt and excellent.
