"I am responding only to set the record straight. It is clear that this is someone who expected more than was possible - given that they waited 4 years later to complain and this is absolutely the first that I've heard of it! I was contracted to scrape and paint and during the prep work I assure you that it was done professionally. The wrought iron was wired brushed, cleaned with paint thinner, sanded, cleaned again, primed and painted with rustoleum. The job was done in the middle of summer, so I find it very hard to believe that we killed her grass. We never used her hoses or any ones hoses or tools. We certainly did no damage. It's pretty clear if this was the case she would not have paid us. The gutter was installed by a gutter company thats been doing business here for 30 years, commercial and residential. I have used them for 20 years and still do and I have not had any complaints. In closing, anyone thats ever done business with us knows that the person who answers the phone is professional and courteous. There is always two sides to every story. I done the work that I was contracted to do and I was paid when it was done. I have never heard of these complaints before now."
"To address this complaint, I appreciate all comments in regards to my work, but after 32 years, I still have clients who point things out that I am aware of while the work is nowhere near complete. However, I understand and listen to every suggestion or complaint and move forward to do the best job possible. As in all homes, walls are not square or plumb, as in this case. I always point this out. I have never refused to or try and make any reasonable requests. The issue with the lights, tile and commode are unfounded. All material was purchased by the homeowner. As far as the commode goes, it is my opinion that their sales person should have been more thorough as they were purchasing special order items. I did not have any input with the materials whatsoever. My plumber of over 30 years was more than qualified, but refused to do the work based on personal reasons. The damage to the cabinet was immediately taken care of without incident. As all of my clients know, I stand behind my work from beginning to end. This complaint, unfortunately, was due to a commode that would not fit. I am sorry, but I did not recommend the commode."
"My response is "Read your contract" of which was based upon information that was given to me on my first meeting. The contract clearly states material where no specs are given. My company was on time, worked full days and had our work inspected by the local building inspector and was approved by such. I left the job after irresponsible demands and rude behavior to anyone who was there. I know you cannot please everyone, but I was and everyone who contracted from me was treated like a criminal."
"I do not recall any problems and I regret that she has had to complain on this list and not with me. The complaint does not give any details, so what I recall was all good."
