We recently hired Integrated Home Design “IHD” for a complete basement renovation, and they did an outstanding job bringing our design ideas to life. The overall process from end-to-end was excellent – from the initial sales/concept design meetings, to product sourcing, to construction and final finishings. Our basement even had many custom features (moving weight-bearing walls, re-wiring the basement and adding new electrical panel, kitchen & entertainment area, shiplap walls, custom-built window and door trim, etc.) which IHD was and able to complete. Most of the IHD team worked on our project at some point in time and did a great job, but several members deserve special recognition: 1. Kyle (Project Lead): You could tell from Day 1 that he really cared about our basement, and treated this project like it was for his own home. His leadership and overall quality and execution was excellent. 2. Nick (Electrician): He was very easy to work with. Had great suggestions on where to place lights and different lighting options. He also measured very accurately where to place the lights so that the spacing throughout basement was precise. 3. Johnny: He worked on the project almost every day, and we appreciate his efforts. 4. Travis (Owner): We can’t say enough positive things about him. Very professional, very caring, and he was determined to make sure the project was completed to our satisfaction. From start to finish, IHD turned our ideas into reality with professionalism and expertise. We recommend IHD for others’ renovation projects.

They have not been able to start the work as their schedule is full. They will start work Sept 10. We also had to wait for our loan approval. Terry has been in constant communication with us and will be here next week to help us finalize all our materials and complete the 3 d design elements.

They always showed up for appointments on a timely manner. Very respectful of my changes through out the project.

My new bathroom is now complete, but this project was a nightmare. Communication with Integrated Home Design guys was rocky from the start but did improve as issues began to arise with the work being done by the hired contractor. This simple two-week bathroom project turned into a month and a half project because of poor quality, even inexcusable work that needed to be fixed. This led to a frustrated contractor stepping in to clean up the mess his crew made, rushing to get things done, and leaving me with a sloppy end product. The resulting flaws are disappointing. Sloppy, patchy drywall in places, sloppy, gnawed-off looking trim in places, and sloppy little details like a pocket door that still isn't level on the track and gaps where light switches are set back into the wall instead of flush with the cover plate. I say with sarcasm: at least the worst of the drywall will be covered by the vanity mirror, and at least the contractor replaced the light switch cover plate that they cracked completely down the entire face...that was the first flaw I saw when I got home after the contractor messaged me that he was finished. So disheartening to see right off the bat. Overall it is a beautiful new bathroom, but little things continue to stick out to me. It made me feel better that Integrated was as frustrated with the work as I was and wanted me to be happy. An Integrated guy even put on a belt to finish the project for me after the contractor stopped talking to me (because he was asking for payment, but I told him I was not comfortable paying until it was 100% complete, and the contractor did not like that). I will say, though, that many of the issues could have been avoided if not for very poor project management by Integrated and the contractor (who left his crew to work on their own while he focused on another project). Nobody came to oversee the project until things started to go downhill and things needed to be fixed and redone over and over. It should not take four attempts to install a drop ceiling before the homeowner decides that, well, it no longer looks terrible. My expectation was a complete, professional job for the money I paid; the results I got did not meet this expectation. The crew did not have the proper tools at times and even used some of my household items as their own. They pulled a desk fan out of my bedroom for their use that was a surprise, my broom and dust pan were covered in paste from their drywall work and caulking and whatnot, there are scratches and cuts all over the top of my washing machine on the other side of the bathroom wall as if they were using a box cutter to repeatedly trim things on top of it, the trash can I use for dryer sheets was in the bathroom half full of water from their plumbing install, they dented a piece of paneling in the closet and didn't tell me, they broke a curtain rod that I had sitting on the couch and covered with a drop cloth so that the curtain wouldn't get dusty (did they sit on it or set something on top of it??), and they mistook my back saw and miter box for their own...I did not even know they used my saw until it was nowhere to be seen except for the little plastic peg I found on the shelf above the trim they placed in the closet that used to attach my saw to the miter box for storage. Very unprofessional, very frustrating, and very disappointing. I will not be contacting Integrated Home Design for any future projects.
