We had our fence replaced and although it took a little longer than expected (reason for 4 1/2 stars) it was a hard project as we had a Captains fence built and we are extremely pleased with it. Rob and Mike are meticulous with their work and we appreciated them being as picky as we are and doing the job right. We can’t say enough about how hard Rob and Mike worked, they are definitely dedicated to doing a good job and didn’t hesitate in listening to what we asked for and wanted. They even had some great suggestions of their own. The fence is beautiful and the talk of our subdivision. Donald is easy going and willing to work with you for your needs and budget. I definitely recommend Quality Home Improvements!

Hired Donald for a simple privacy fence for a small backyard in Lexington. Said it would take 4 days, took over a month to complete. He didn?t have the proper permit to build and asked US to take care of it. Had to remove an existing chain link fence and his crew cut the poles out leaving sharp metal in the ground and we had to ask them to fully remove the posts. Then they dug holes for the new posts on our neighbor?s property, even though we gave them a map of the property lines. Posts were dug up and Donald wanted us to pay for the extra cement they used to put them in the right spot. Fence posts weren?t dug as deep as the contract stated, leaving the fence wobbly, and the crew complained when we asked them to put them the correct depth. Side gate not installed properly and had to be redone. Back gate is a manual sliding 12ft gate and won?t slide open, keeps falling off the track leaving our backyard completely open, and Donald is refusing to refund us for the gate.

"After six months this coustmer reached out to me ,about there sliding gate was off track,I reminded them that myself and my guys did not recommend this gate because there did not want to pay the additional cost of pouring a concrete slab so it would roll properly, also all my contacts state that they are responsible for all permits aswell as surveys. I called several times with no answer tryn to meet with them ,after again no response I went to the home which is now a rental property on a very bad part of town and the house was empty and the neighbors said they had been gone a ouolr mounths ,homeless people camping out in the back of the yar"

I give Donald and Quality Home Improvements 3 stars based on what they were initially contracted to do. That being to install a wooden fence. They also built a driveway extension and retaining wall, but I had to contract another group to fix the work they did and complete the job. I also give three stars as I had to go back and replace six pickets myself due to them not being nailed down correctly and the boards becoming warped. I contacted Donald about this, but no one ever showed up to fix it.

"Six pickets out of 245 lft thats 850 pickets ,also forgot to mention that we hauled off two sixteen ft trailers of bushes and debree from the yard that was supposed been removed by the coustmer before starting the job at no charge ,the drive extension we only added four loads of rock ,and built the retaining wall with a material that the coustmer requested then after the fact he didn't like what he requested, he supposedly had another contractor redo the retaining wall . also he didn't mention that I did not charge him for any labor to do the retaining wall ,after we had two days two men leveling and spreading rock,we removed trash fr - Donald Way"

Rescreened and cleaned tile floor and entire screened porch including furniture after storm damaged 6 months ago. I am very picky and I cannot say enough good comments about the beautiful results this company achieved. Workmanship and workers were superb!

When the march 4 2023 storm took out my fence I contacted 4 different companies to quote repair/replacement. This company contacted me and came out right away. I never heard from the others who were recommended by friends or family. The work done was excellent and timely and very pleased with the outcome! Quality of work and service above expectations and when my mom needed her hardwood floors refinished we called them again and they made them look like brand new again. Would not hesitate to refer or use them again for home improvement jobs. Thank you!

Donald and his crew did an excellent job replacing our wooden residential fence. He handled the demo, the clean up, and the build in just a couple of days (they even worked in the freezing cold!) His communication was excellent and when he and his crew finished the job, they left no mess behind. I definitely recommend this crew!
