Plumbing Systems Inc. (PSI) was contracted by my home warranty company. They came to my home on 3/24/16. I was told my water heater (located in my attic) needed to be replaced. I was told by PSI that plumbing codes would no longer allow water heaters to be installed in attics. They said that the warranty company would pay for the new water heater, but I would have to pay for the cost associated with the relocation of the water heater (they suggested moving it down right below the attic to my bedroom closet). Not knowing any plumbing coding, I trusted them to do this. 3/31/16 PSI removed my old water heater from the attic and installed the new one in the closet below the attic opening. I was charged $1033.68 out of pocket for this relocation. In May I noticed my carpet was wet outside the closet and below my attic. I contacted a different plumber because there was not one available with my warranty company at that time. The plumber found that there was a cut drain pipe with insulation pushed in the end of it. This drain pipe should have been capped off when the old water heater was removed by PSI. This was the cause of the leak. This new plumber also told me that my new water heater (installed by PSI) was not up to code. Some of the issues were: improper ventilation piping (should be double walled and they just used single wall pipes), a gas water heater can not be installed in a closet with out luevered closet doors for ventilation, and there were issues with the new drainage system installed. In addition to this I was told that infact the water heater could have been in the attic - this is not a code issue. So I was lied to and had to pay $1036 for relocation of my water heater and it was not necessary. I also found out that after a plumber does work for you that you that they should give you the number of the local plumbing inspector to have them look at the work. PSI didn't mention this at all. I contacted the plumbing inspector myself and they confirmed several code issues and that the water heater could have been installed in the attic. Don't use this plumbing company.

Plumbing Systems was very competent, prompt, dependable, trustworthy and the staff provided TOP QUALITY customer service!

The home service location was in KY; I live in Georgia; I found Plumbing Systems on Angie's List; contacted them on Friday afternoon and they were there first thing the following Monday morning. Their technician had to travel 20 miles out of town; and they got the job done- on time!

I highly recommend this company and would use them again.

This this the worst repair experience and customer service I have ever experienced.  The plumbing repair was initially attempted in September 2014, and sure enough it started again one month later.  They came back out and fixed the repair a second time less than one month later because they failed to get it right the first time.  Now, 9-10 months later, the exact same issue is starting again.  I called this morning to let them know that their work was done very poorly, and they did not repair the issue.  I would have assumed that they warrant their work for at least a year, but they do not what-so-ever!  The woman I spoke with was very rude on the phone, and refused to send a compitent person back out to repair the issue correctly, which would be the third attempt.  I am now taking my business elsewhere, and will incur additional cost, but will hopefully get this repair done correctly.

Contacted them because of home warranty. Quickly came out to give estimate and get started on work. Employees who did the work were not qualified. Plumbing was installed incorrectly and had to later be replaced by another plumber. Sewer line replacement took longer than anticipated and caused additional damage to our yard. Sewer line was supposed to be hooked up for inspection, but was still unable to use water in the home due to issues with plumbing line and delay in the inspection.

This is an addition to my previous rating. After a week or two, we were doing additional work on a bathroom remodel, and discovered that the wiring installed by PSI for the water heater had been haphazardly done, it was put together with black electrical tape, leaving a potential fire hazard. We called them and they resolved the issue. I recommend you check and see if their crew has appropriate credentials and criminal background checks before letting them into your home

I have had great experience and decent experience with this company. We have had a few contractors that came out and were able to get everything done that we needed as well as fixed a couple minor issues (i.e. leaking drain) at no cost. They generally are quick to contact us to get setup and get the job done. We have had one service where we felt that the guy didn't want to work with us and/or our warranty company and all services were denied. They wanted a lot more money to work through the issues. We decided to take care of it ourselves and we did. Overall I would use them again.

They cut drywall in places didn't need to be cut. They were going to leave a large elbow pipe because they couldn't get it removed (major hole in that pipe). Pipes they replaced in the basement had to be redone. Pipes near washer were not to code. They left all supplies to be used outside over night (tenant in the house brought them inside I sure they wouldn't have been there in the morning) They also left the house unlocked and back door open when they left the first day

I fired them had to hire another plumber to fix their mess and had the extra expense of major drywall repair.

I signed a lifetime contract with them for my water heater 3 or 4 years ago. The last time the guy was trying to train another guy and he forgot to drain the water heater. They don't do the contract any longer because they were losing money on it. I've had them out 3 or 4 times so I got my money's worth out of it. The other guys that have been out were fine but this guy was not. I got another plumber so I won't be using them again.

I don't remember the details, but thats a good thing. I am an out of town land lord, and I have used Plumbing Systems a couple of times already. I've been very happy with their price and service. No complaints. My daughter is one of the tenants in the house, and they are really good about working around her schedule, and calling me with details, prices, and sending me the bill. We will continue to call them is necessary.

I have written a negative review of this company before. Perhaps you deleted it.
I would never have called these clowns twice, but I had to use them under my former home warrantee. The first time I called to unclog my washer drain the and quot;plumberand quot; claimed that there was nothing he could do. I called another plumber and he fixed it immediately. When I needed our hot water heater replaced the and quot;plumberand quot; first tried to install a 40 gal rather than a 50 gal tank, and then set up the emergency drain so that I have a ridiculous pipe running about chest high in the middle of my basement.

All personnel were super friendly, helpful courteous and professional. That includes the plumber, plumber's helpers, customer service and billing. They originally could only schedule me for the next day, but when an opening came, they called me back and came out same day. Quality of work was excellent because the issues have not reoccurred.
My issue was with the estimates and my perception of what I witnessed actually happened. They gave me the estimates. Each time they were here, it did not take anywhere as long as they estimated, usually less than half the time. They made 3 trips out here in what I felt could of been 2 (they did not anticipate to bring the suspected parts to repair the shower, even though he told me what he thought it was when he inspected it on the first trip, and he was right). So they charged me for the estimated hours even though it took a lot less and they added their own extra trip.
Also, they had a plumber's helper ride with the plumber all 3 trips and charged me for him. The first trip was to give me an estimate, I assumed the helper was with him because they came from another job. Not knowing plumbing, I expected these were repairs requiring the assistance of the helper. I witnessed all 3 visits, there was only maybe 5 minutes where the plumber used any assistance, someone to hold the shower drain while the other hooked it up from the basement ceiling. This was a task the home owner could of done or at the very minimum, only charge me for his 1 visit, everything else seemed like the helper being a trainee.
As far as responsiveness, the only knock was when I called about the invoice, they said they'd look into it and call me back the next day. They did not, and I had to call them back the following day.
In all fairness to the company, the billing person/manager did lower the invoice over $100 after much discussion, and she was friendly throughout as we discussed the validity of each others points. Even though I may of felt a bigger credit was deserved, I do appreciate a company that was willing to listen to me and make an invoice adjustment. Although she never backed down from her company's point of view, I believe she found a way, out of courtesy, to appease the customer. Also, the plumber was very helpful in answering my questions about other home repair issues that they could not directly help me with (i.e. gas fireplace, etc…) but his recommendations were spot on.
They certainly helped us in a time of need and they were prompt, this all happened during the freeze and I am sure they were swamped.

It was an emergency. I was very impressed until after they left and there continued to be a leak, a runoff type and when I called they were a little reluctant to send somebody back out and they tried to tell me what to do. There was a lever that I could slip and I did what they said but I had to have them come back out later because it needed repair on that part too so they had to come back. They charged $156 that was with Angies coupon. The second time it was to replace the valve. They came looked at it and they did not charge for that visit. But it took them 3 days for them to get the part in and come back. So I was less than impressed with that. They just repaired the other day, a frozen a pipe that was leaking and the charge was even more than when they came out for the emergency. They left parts that they had cut off on the floor and it was also in the basement. I had to pick up few parts on the way. I will not use them again.

I contacted PSI through my home warranty company. I was really nervous, after reading the fine print, that my home warranty company might try to not cover the water heater replacement. The plumber from PSI called the home warranty company and got permission for replacement. The warranty company wanted to use there own water heater which would've taken a week or more. PSI was able to negotiate with them to use one that they had in stock. Thankfully I was able to have hot water the next day, right before Thanksgiving. I was impressed with PSI, and I felt like they really advocated for me.
They did show up late for installation, but I figured with the up coming holiday and the back and forth with my home warranty company that it was understandable.

First, we were quoted a price significantly less than what it cost. They showed up, cut three separate approx. 12and quot;x18and quot; holes in our drywall in our bathroom trying to find the location of the pipe.
The plumber replaced the section of pipe - 3 times. The first two times, the 'repair' started to leak immediately, in one case gushing water all over the bathroom. This is before the repairman ever left. The third time, he replaced more of the piping with all copper. It appears to be holding, I hope.
Then, after cutting all these large pieces out of our wall, he announces and quot;We don't fix that.and quot; Great. We're still trying to get them to hold in place. If we were handy, we wouldn't have called a plumber.
Final insult- we were charged about $80 more than quoted over the phone, because the pipe ended up being in a location that was and quot;hard to get to.and quot; It was next to the toilet. I would have thought a plumber would be familiar with working next to a toilet.
The upshot- the price was ridiculous for the work performed, and they left a huge mess in our bathroom that we are still trying to fix. No way would I recommend them.

They arrived on time, prepared to get the job done. The young man kept me informed throughout the job of the things he was trying to do. He located the problem in the pipes leading to the sewer line and removed the clog quickly.

Of three companies I called, this is the only one that came out to give me an estimate. The others gave me ballpark figures based on the work requested. Two faucets were leaking badly both outside as well as into the crawl space, and the third had never worked. The house still has galvanized pipe in some places and they thought the pipe to the nonworking faucet must have corroded from the inside, blocking it. There were problems with removing two of the faucets because of the amount of cement holding them in place. The third faucet was replaced but didn't work (as expected, since it had never worked and the pipe was blocked). This then required a second visit to repair. It took several days longer than expected to arrange for the second appointment but that was so they could send out their most experienced plumber. The corroded pipe broke as it was removed, so fittings had to be replaced as well. It took much more time to do the work than the estimate specified, and required a good length of pipe, but they made good on the estimate with no extra charges. The only complaint I have is that one faucet is placed low to the patio and the faucet they removed was angled a little to make it easier to fasten the hose. The replacement was put on so the faucet points straight down to the patio, making it harder to access. By the time I saw this, it had been cemented in place, so there was no way to change it. Overall, I am very happy to have three working faucets without leaks.
