took it to another repair store and the tech guy started putting the hard drive in the refrigerator and did all kinds to voodoo stuff finally said that they could not repair it. After a few months one of my friends shared his experience with his data recovery performed by Mediatechfx . i thought i would call the company and check to see what they offer. They said they had free diagnostics and would not charge if they were unable to retrive my data. so i gave it a go. when i asked them how much do they charge for replacing a 500 GB hard drive they gave me an estimate of $140 which was $110 cheaper than what i paid bestbuy.
Surprisingly i get a call after the next day saying that they would be able to retrieve my data and gave me a quote of only $99. They made my day. I am writing this review to thank the company cause they got me my family history back and in a budget too.
Their best thing is free diagnostics and prompt service. i wish i knew about Mediatechfx earlier
i would recommend people in lexington area to try this local company for any of your computer needs.
