Tech showed up on time and was professional and work was great, but they try to sell you a lot of things and the price is outrageous! Think about this. Install a new dishwasher and fix a dripping faucet in the kitchen sink and the cost was 500 dollars. That's 250 dollars per hour for the 2 hours the tech was here. To be fair, he did a great job but because of that beyond insane price for that type of work, I won't be using this company again, nor will I recommend them. I must have been temporarily insane to agree to that price,

Not well. They took advantage of me on the hottest week of the year.

I contacted LexPro because my outside heat pump was freezing up. One of the technicians, Mike, came out and said that the system had a mechanical fault in the heat absorption system and an electrical fault in the compression system. This was a little bit Greek to me but basically the heat pump compressor was bad and the indoor unit was leaking Freon. Anticipating a costly repair, I contacted my home warranty company who sent out a technician from an affiliated company. This technician said that only the defrost board was bad and that the system was not leaking Freon. However, he also noted that the heat pump was heavily damaged from hail which resulted in the warranty company denying the claim. So, I would be left covering the cost regardless of which option I chose. Obviously, two very different diagnoses with a substantial difference in cost. In the end, I decided to go with LexPro. I made the decision based on which company I thought was more trustworthy. I had used LexPro previously and had more confidence in their work. The system was replaced in late November and I have been very pleased with it. I found all the technicians to be very professional and courteous. The owner, Dave, even came out a couple weeks after the installation to do a quality control check (he didn't say he was the owner but I recognized him). I'm not sure what Steve's title is but I know he answers the phone when I call and keeps in touch during a service call. He is always pleasant and is so eager to help. LexPro is very lucky to have him. I will continue to use LexPro for my heating and air conditioning needs and would highly recommend them.

THESE GUYS ARE CRIMINALS!!
The first time I called them we were having issues with our furnace. I had a $25 coupon from Angie's list and thought I'd call them. The young guy who came out (he is NO longer there, by the way), seemed nice, courteous and honest. He determined that our new furnace was not wired correctly, and after connecting a few wires, the furnace began blowing heat. We were so happy and were only charged about $100, minus the $25 coupon, and thus only paid around $75. The young guy tried to sell me a service plan, but we told him since the furnace and AC were new, we didn't want to at that time.
Spring came, and now we found out that the furnace was NOT wired correctly, and even though we had heat in the winter, the furnace was "kicking on/off" thus using gas, even though it was warm outside. We found out the issue because only the furnace ran on gas, while everything else in the house is electric.
The second repairman, a VERY rough character, saw the issue and told us, "he needed to go outside and write up a proposal of "our options". I had the feeling we were about to be screwed, and I was correct.
After 15 minutes the guy comes back into the house with a range of figures ranging from $400 to $5000. The $400 figure would simply fix the wiring with NO warranty whatsoever. The next price was about $800 and included the same wiring fix, but 1 year warranty on their work, plus 2 service calls for cleaning in the future. He also suggested the $5000 quote which would give us a new furnace. The furnace and AC were brand new, so I know he only showed that quote to make the others look low.Being forced to have SOME sort of warranty, we chose the $800 option. The guy finished the wiring in 10 minutes and left. 10 minutes for $800, what a scam! We called the office to complain and were told the guy was new, but no offer to refund any money. Their technicians work on COMMISSION, so he kept most of the money!
Now, we needed the stems of our shower replaced, a VERY simple procedure from what many plumbers have told me. After a different plumber didn't show, stupidly I thought maybe LexPro's plumbers were different, and since they sent me a $50 coupon, I would try them AGAIN. Yes, I am an idiot!
I was told I would be chraged $39 service call to diagnose the problem, and if repairs, it would be applied towards the repairs. Being that I had a $50 gift card THEY SENT ME, I thought I had nothing to lose. I was WRONG again!
This time a very scrappy guy in his late teens or early 20's shows up. Immediately he begins asking me questions about my house, how long I want to live there, etc. I thought that was odd.
After looking at the SIMPLE job, he again says he "has to go outside to write up my options". Uh oh, here we go again. After 10 minutes, he comes inside with my options ranging from $880 to replace the stems, to $4000 to replace my bathtub, tile, etc??? The entire shower is new! Again, he showed me this high price to make his other ones seem small.
I told him no way, and told him it was a 15-30 minute job. his reply was "well we have to make a living!". I offered him my gift card and told him I would look elsewhere. he said he wouldn't accept the card, so I wrote him a $39 check and told him to get out!
This outfit is a JOKE! Anyone else that has given a good review is lying! Don't believe it!
ALL Of their technicians work on commission, and instead of doing like the entire civilized world does, which is charge you per hour, they try to see how much you would be willing to pay.
After asking the office after the first raping why I was charged $800 for less than an hour of work, I was told, "he is new..."
DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE! You will regret it!!!!!!!!!!!

"I apologize for your experience; beginning with the lack of communication on the morning of your appointment. I understand how frustrating that can be, especially when you have rearranged your own schedule to accomodate the appointment. The training for the technicians usually took place on Friday. The change to Tuesday was last minute and caused the delay. This issue has been discussed with the Dispatcher to make sure the gap in communication doesn't happen again. I answered honestly when I said that I did not know how the technicians are paid. I have since asked our Service Manager and found out that our technicians are paid by the hour and do not work on commission. I hope this clears up any misunderstanding. Our technicians are trained to give the customer options and the pricing of those options upfront, before doing any work. The technicians have the customer choose what option they desire, even if it is sending the technician away without doing any repair. Thank you for you post."

I would not use this comapny again. I really feel like I was over charged for the work done. I dont have any complaints with the work that they did at all.

Their call was under my home warranty so I just had to pay the deductible. They did not complete the work; we had someone else do it. They did not give the proper diagnosis. I will not use them again in the future.

I've been very satisfied with their work. I have a monthly payment for their service, which totals a certain amount per year, the seasonal service of A/C and furnace is included with this.

Frustrating experience all around. To start with, they were five hours late for their appointment. They added less than 3 pounds of refrigerant to our AC unit at a total price (including service call) of $475 (this was the "discounted" price after I complained about them being late). I was surprised at the price and called around to check after they left - only to find out that the going rate is about a third of what I paid. It wasn't a complicated job at all. They were here for less than an hour total. I have used them in the past and been quite pleased. Hopefully this was just a fluke, but I won't be calling them again.

"Unfortunately, on that day, we had a technician who called in ill and so we had to scramble to rearrange his calls and place them on another technician. Another factor was the person in charge of keeping the customer updated on the technician’s status. That individual did not perform that task properly and as a result is no longer with the company. The person handling that responsibility now is much more experienced and professional. If such delays occur in the future, the customer will know exactly the status of the technician throughout the entire process. Based on more than 25 years experience and over one million completed jobs, we now “build” the price for each job type by applying the material, average labor, overhead and profit to each of these jobs. With this system, our clients now get what they truly want, “The cost before the work is performed.” Nor do you pay extra if our technician takes longer than the average amount of time required performing the work. We did follow up with this customer after the service was completed and did express our sincere apologies for the delayed response time that was unfortunately unavoidable due to the circumstances. The Licensed Service Technician provided the customer with a reduced service fee and a 10% discount off the services. Please refer to our other reports to gauge a more accurate description of our company. Thank you."

They did a good job. We only had to pay $19 for the service call because we had a $50 off coupon. It was a young guy that figured out what was wrong and he rewired our furnace. He was courteous and professional. He did a good job and he was on time. I didn?t have any complaints at all. I would definitely use him again.

I have had them do some work earlier this year as well. I called them to come back for the fall work. I will continue to use them until they give me a reason not to. I paid nothing out of pocket today. You sign up for a membership so you are assured of someone being there when you need them. Last summer I had a rather significant water leak from an upstairs air conditioning unit after hours. I could not get the company I had been using to come out. I went through the yellow pages and saw LexPro had 24 hour service. He came at 1130pm that night. He had several other jobs to do before he got to me but he came and took care of it. I then called them when I needed my system checked in the spring and because they had spotted problems related to the leak. The first technician came back again and did a lot of work for me again. As far as I can tell everything is going well. I joined the membership as a fair trial. If you are not happy after 2 years you can opt out of the membership. They seem conscientious at this point and they are neat. I plan to keep using them in the future.
