Printing - Invitations
One of our replacement printers was left out in the ran. Prior to the ran we already had two printers from Lexmark I called Fed ex because they didn't cover the package therefore the printer was ruined. Fed Ex offered to pay for shipping and pay for the repairs. Lexmark still sent us a new printer but wanted no money from Fed Ex. However, I wanted them to send me a 901 but instead Lexmark sent a 705 printer because they assured me it was a better product than the 9575, which is the printer I had originally . The first time we plugged in the new 705 printer and used it, the printer jammed. My husband tried a second time and it jammed again; not only in the front but also the back. All the pages had irregular printer lines, the print faded in and out throughout the pages. It also used up ink very quickly. We called Lexmark once again after the 705 jammed. A lady informed us we had the wrong ink level of a lsl pr 705c081910-00ink; we had 2009 version which was not compatible with our printer. They wanted us to do a deep cleaning of the ink heads on our brand new printer, a new printer should not have any issues. This was even the second time we performed that procedure. The ink cartridges are extremely pricey and do not last. After the third deep cleaning cleaning we were left with no ink and it was still faded. Then they had us line up the colors on a print out and it was still faded. One representative, Michelle, offered to send us a new printer head and because no one lives in the United States we would have to install it ourself. Lexmark gave us five references to our support desk to further assist us and they kept saying they would get back to us within 24 to 48 hours. My husband and I spent many hours and days for about a year working with Lexmark to fix the printer, probably around 20 hours. Most recently I spoke with Edmen and Jeff. I asked them to fix the solution or I would write them to the newspaper. They continue to call to see if we are happy with the product but we cannot get the printer to work. They do follow through but a printer that does not work is not useful. Again, this is the fourth printer we have had in almost a year. My husband is also a senior quality engineer in the electronic field for four years and he cannot understand why a company would have so many issues. Why would anyone want to use this company? I would never recommend them nor use their services or products again. A few of the major companies that sell printers and computers did not recommend Lexmark product.
