This review is for the Hilton Suites, Lexington Green. This property was not recognized by Angie's List. IT WAS TERRIBLE! PLEASE read if you are planning on using this facility for any type of gathering. First of all we had colored table toppers on top of white table clothes. These were taken directly from the package,not ironed, and looked terrible on the tables. We had the room reserved from 4:00 pm - 11:30 pm with a guarantee of 125 people, with a buffet. The facility set up only a single buffet line instead of a double buffet. They did not replenish the food, we had to ask multiple times to replenish. At one point we were told that no meatballs could be brought out because they were not ready, this was after the first tray was delivered. The veggie tray was pitiful, celery sticks and limp carrots, with only one small red pepper filled with dip, and also not replenished. Plates were removed from the table before guests were done eating, along with all the silverware. When it came time for wedding cake, no one had a fork to eat the cake with. We asked for forks to be brought out. never happened. One of the guests thought we wanted them to eat cake with their fingers. We had a roast beef carving station. The table for the carving station was not set up correctly, so when the carver was cutting the roast, the table collapsed, and the meat with the au jus and sides fell on the floor. It was a mess, and one of the wedding guests actually put out the sterno to avoid a fire, no employees came to help. I purchased sparkling cider for the toast, and had to ask multiple times for it to be served. A guest asked for more cider and was told it was all gone, yet at the end of the evening i had 8 unopened bottles returned to me. A guest asked for some wedding cake and was told it was all gone, yet we had the entire groom's cake and an entire tier of the wedding cake that had not been touched. The employees started breaking down the room around 7:45, and actually asked guests to leave the room at 8:15 pm, even though I had the room reserved until 11:30.
I called the Hilton, corporate office on July 1 to express my opinion on how poorly this was handled and was told verbally and via an email that the manager would be back in touch with me within 3 business days. It has now been 7 business days and I have heard nothing. My advice if you are reading this is. USE THE MARRIOTT!!!!!!!
