Lexington Chimney Sweep

He was a pleasure to work with and the cleaning was very thorough. He was able to clean some buildup that another company spent a couple minutes on and said the whole chimney needed replacement.

Greg did a wonderful job cleaning it and answering all my questions. He is a one man operation, so be patient with him getting back to you. His price was very reasonable and he was extremely professional. I was worried it about it being messy but it wasn't at all - he probably left the exterior cleaner than he found it! I would highly recommend him

The price was reasonable for the amount of time that they spent on the evaluation. They are very, very thorough. They not only did an evaluation of the physical components of the chimney, but they looked at the inside set up that we had with the glass doors and made sure that we had recommendations about carbon monoxide monitors, and options that we would have for the crown. It wasn't just an evaluation of your chimney being cleaned, but it was the physical structure inside and outside, what options we had in terms of replacing the damper, and safety options for the house. The tech that did the evaluation was very good and very knowledgeable.

Very well. It was a big job as both chimneys had much animal material and an actual racoon skull! I was worried about toxic particles invading the house but Greg was prepared. He brought all the necessary equipment and methodically and expertly opened the flues and removed the debris. At a later date, because the chimney cap needed to be ordered, he installed the cap. Not an easy task on this particular roof. Again, he was methodical and expert. Would highly recommended. Very nice person also. That's always a bonus! The cost breakdown is $425 for the stainless steel chimney cap and installation, $165 per fireplace sweep.

Greg really knows his stuff!  He quickly went to work and had the job done in less than an hour.  He provided us with a lot of information which we needed this being a new house to us.  I would recommend him in a heartbeat.  He was even early for the appointment!

It was very easy to schedule an appointment with them. Came out (I think) the next day. Was on time and very courteous and professional. I wasn't home, but my husband, who is a realtor, and meets with all kinds of contractors on a daily basis, was very impressed. Greg did not try to sell us anything extra or do work that was not needed \. He did a fabulous job and did not leave a spot of soot on anything!

Greg was very knowledgeable about chimneys, fireplaces, and air movement through a house.  He gave us a lot of technical information and spent a good amount of time discussing his concerns and issues with our chimney.  He seems very honest, competent, and fair in his prices.  He did tell us that we would need significant masonry work, unfortunately, before he could do any further fireplace work or put on a chimney cap for us.  He does not do masonry work but recommended a local place.

He came ten minutes early from when he said he would be there. It took about an 1 1/2 hours to clean the dryer vent. He gave me tips for how to maintain the dryer vent. I definitely would recommend him.

Greg inspected the chimney liner and stovepipe connector both from the roof and from inside the house, and assured me that there was no need for a cleaning at this time, owing to the sparse use. He checked the chimney cap, and showed me photos of what he had seen. Also, he cleaned out and disposed of stink bugs that had come down the chimney looking for a place to keep warm.
This guy is terrific. Very personable and thorough and knowledgeable in his field. His prices are extremely reasonable. Also, he was able to come the same day I called him due to a cancellation from his schedule that day. Wow. You just can't beat that. I was lucky, because his schedule for the next two weeks is full. After all, this is October.

An absolute pleasure to deal with! I called him on a Thursday afternoon and he was able to schedule an appointment for us the next day. He showed up on time, spent about two hours cleaning the chimney, and billed us the amount he had quoted over the phone. Always nice to do business with someone who does exactly what you hired them to do and charges exactly what they promised to charge. No surprises!

He was very thorough and he was at my home for a few hours. The flue chain had broken off the wall and he fixed that when he did not have to. He was very helpful and he told me what he was doing. He gave advice for the future with that as well. The system has worked very good since the visit. He was very professional and I would use him again in the future.

Experience with this company met and exceeded all expectations. Saturday evening the fire department was called to our home due to fire engulfing our chimney. The fire department chief told us not to use our chimney fireplace until it was professionally cleaned. Therefore I spent Sunday afternoon trying to contact a reputable company to schedule for services as soon as possible. The first company contacted we had used before, left a message with them and have not yet received a return phone call. Next call made was to Greg with Lexington Chimney Sweep. It was a pleasant surprise when he answered his company phone late Sunday afternoon and as he learned of our situation he was kind enough to schedule an appointment for us not only this week but on New Years Eve, a day when many service companies can not be reached!
Today's appointment went smoothly from start to finish. Lexington Chimney Sweep was punctual for appointment and did all they said they would do and more. Greg presented himself as a true professional who is very polite, personable and an expert in his field. I felt at ease for him to be in my home and can assure you will feel the same. From start of job to finish he took care to utilize a drop cloth and to not leave behind a mess for me. Upon completion of job he freely shared with myself and my husband recommendations for future fireplace care, maintenance and fireplaces inserts. It is refreshing to find a service company that I can trust and can freely recommend to my neighbors and friends. We will use his service again!

I recently moved and assumed the chimney needed to be cleaned. The sweep arrived on time and inspected the chimney from the inside and outside (even though the weather was bad). He took pictures and made recommendations on what to look for and what did and did not need to be done--which included having the chimney swept. He said there was not enough build-up to warrant a cleaning. Honesty is a great quality in contractors. He also took the time to explain his recommendations and why he made them. I learned a lot about how the air flows in a home. He definitely knew his field. I would highly recommend him.

Greg was very knowledgeable, neat and professional. He answered every question thoroughly. I learned a lot about the use of my ventless gas logs including that my old log set was very well made and so I decided not to waste money replacing them.
