Mike came out to the yard and walked all around the house to propose the path for the drainage. We agreed on his proposal in early February. He said it would take 2 days. He started on March 3. Even though he had walked the yard, he failed to foresee access problems with his trencher and destroyed my neighbor's walk, my fence, and my rose garden in skidding the thing in on muddy ground. He installed the drain pipe 9 inches down instead of 18, he used the wrong size pipe and drain inlets. He placed one drain basin in the middle of a walkway rather than to the side. He did not slope or grade anything. After sending his guy out to repair things, he "finished" in mid-March. My back yard was full of muddy ruts and pea gravel, plus a few half-buried tools and an entire spool of wire my lawnmower discovered. In the front yard, he hacked up a tree trenching under it and just left the limbs in my lawn. His repair of my neighbors walk was laughable and my neighbor and I redid it. His fence repair had to be redone. He did nothing to repair my rose garden. He re-mulched some of the beds with muck instead of the river pebbles we had agreed on. 2 months later he had the nerve to invoice me for $490 more than the original estimate.
