Wouldn't recommend this store. The sales person ordered the wrong sofa, found out upon delivery after waiting nine weeks. Since we had already ditched our old sofa, we accepted delivery on the wrong one for a $100 credit. It was close enough to the one we wanted. Left a message and sent an email of complaint to the store owner/manager who never returned our call. Bad experience all around. Basicall, once the sale is made, this store doesn't care what happens.
Description of Work: Ordered a new sofa and chair.

Prior to moving to Central KY, we went into the La-z-boy store and purchased a set of recliners. We arranged for them to be ready for pickup two weeks from the order date so that we would have furniture in our small duplex upon our move-in. The sales lady assured us the chairs would be available and ready the week we needed them. After two weeks, we called to verify a pick up time and were told it would be another week, that the one chair was still not available. Another week, and again, the chair had not arrived yet. We waited one more week and in the meantime had NO furniture in our small duplex to sit on except our bed in the bedroom. We had both begun new jobs in the area and after working long days for over a month, we couldnt even come home and relax on the recliners we had already paid for. I gave them one more week and then I was going to insist on a cancellation of my order. So, after we were let down again and given every excuse in the book about where our recliners were, I attempted to cancel my order and wanted a refund. I was told I could not get a refund. I was assured that the chair would be in the following day and I could swing by and pick it up. The next day came and once again, no chair. It finally arrived the following day after. I went in to speak with the manager whom was incredibly rude about the incident. She indicated the entire issue was out of her hands and the problem belonged with their delivery company in another state. It had now been five weeks since I ordered and paid for the items and I asked her if there was anything she could do to compensate for the amount of delay in filling my order. She stated that I was already getting free delivery, what else did I want. I stated that the delivery was being done by me as I was picking them up and had arranged to pick up from the beginning. She said that this was the only thing she couldve offered. She then smiled and walked away from the front counter. I asked another employee if this was the actual manager and he stated yes. It was shocking that a manager could behave in this way. I maintained a very cordial attitude with everyone I dealt with at this particular store and was way more than accomodating than I shouldve been, but after meeting many new people in the Lexington, KY area and mentioning this store, I have been warned that they have always been horrible when it comes to ontime deliveries and having the items in stock. Theirs is a broken system from what I have seen and experienced and as much as I love their furniture and deals, I do not wish to go down this road again with them. I hope I can sway someone else from making the same mistake I have made.

I purchased a sofa that was on sale. Delivery during the week is an issue for me and I told the salesperson that I would require a weekend delivery. She said that this is not typical, but that she was confident that she could make arrangements for a Saturday delivery. It took 8 weeks for them to complete the order - a fact that the salesperson did not mention until the paperwork for the sale had been completed. When the sofa was finally ready for delivery, they tried to schedule a weekday delivery. When I reminded them that weekday delivery was not an option for me, the salesperson wanted to charge me an additional $20 for Saturday delivery. She was quite rude when I asserted that I would not pay more than the agreed upon price for the delivery. She even said that she was doing me a favor by arranging a Saturday delivery and that I was putting her between a rock and a hard place by refusing to more than the agreed upon price for the merchandise/service. I can't rate the overall quality of the furniture because it was just delivered today. I can only hope that it is much better than the customer service I received.
