L K REMODELING LLC

This was a large renovation project. It involved dry walling,plumbing and electrical work in a country farm outside in Nicholasville , Ky. Initially, when I hired Larry and Karen Evans for this job it seemed like a good fit. As time went on with the project less and less was done and they continued to request draws of money. THe Finish deadline kept moving back. I was out-of-state during this renovation. I made several trips to check on the property. Often, I Would find no significant progress on the project. This was met by excuses by Larry Evans and unfortunately I kept giving extensions hoping to get my project completed, the last deadline was august7.2013, a full 8 months after the original completion date. Finally, I had no communication from Larry Evans about his progress,so I made a trip to ky in September to find the project uncompleted and no one working in the home. I called Larry Evans several times, texted him and even stopped by his home and he would not come to the door. Then I had to face the reality that this was the wrong contractor for me. Mr Evans, was terminated. In the interim I discovered that doors, merchandise and items that were supposedly paid for, and items that I had advanced money for payment , were never purchased. Later I hired Anderson /ROgers construction who were amazing! We then discovered electrical problems , plumbing issues , a staircase issue which required removal and or a re-do. This was work that Mr Evans had done either incorrectly or was not in code. I WOULD ADVISE ANYONE CONSIDERING THIS COMPANY TO RUN !!THE ETHICS AND HONESTY ARE IN THE TOILET, THE QUALITY IS NOT THERE AND IF YOU DO HIRE THESE PEOPLE DO NOT LET THEM GET AHEAD OF YOU ON THE DRAWS. THIS IS THE WORST BUILDING /REMODEL EXPERIENCE THAT I HAVE EVER HAD. PLEASE DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND FIND SOMEONE ELSE. I CHOSE ANDERSON AND RODGERS TO COMPLETE THE JOB AND THEY HAVE BEEN HONEST, RELIABLE AND DEPENDABLE. I GENERALLY DO NOT WRITE REVIEWS- BUT I DO NOT WANT ANYONE TO GET RIPPED OFF LIKE I DID. IF ONE PERSON READS THIS THAT WOULD HAVED USED THEM , THEN I HAVE THE TIME WISELY TO WRITE THIS. GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE IN YOUR PROJECTS!

They are very profession and timely, no surprises, clean up afterward and the quality of their work is top notch.  I've been impressed by the scope and range of their skills.  We're planning to have them do some hardwood flooring for us this summer.
