Hauling
DON'T We hired this company to haul 60 ton of stone from Nicholasville to Lexington to our job site.We followed the driver (Mike) on the first load, showed him where we needed the stone dumped, over the hill. The second and third trips up we sent him, trusting he would dump in the same place we had showed him and explained to him we needed it to be. Being we live in Nicholasville, we paid him in advance and TIPPED HIM. Later that night we received an email from our client expressing her concern that our stone had been dumped in the roadway. Rock weighing anywhere from 5-500 lbs each. So at 11:30 PM we went to Lexington to see what she was talking about. Much to our suprise he (Mike, the driver) had dumped BOULDERS in the roadway and LEFT them. My husband called the driver which told us to call the company owner (James), my husband ask him if he could get a bobcat out there as soon as possible to get the boulders out of the roadway before someone got hurt or even worse killed. He (James, owner) in a not so nice manner told him " I own no bobcat, and its not my problem" ( Mike the driver had told us early on that they infact did own bobcats) We ask if he was going to compensate us, being we were going to have extra expense getting these boulders out of the roadway and where we had paid his company to get them. James (company owner) said he owed us nothing, not even an apology? We often hire out hauling of material for our jobs, we will NEVER use this company again. And will recommend that noone else does either.
