Family owned Accounting practice established in 1982 with active clients in 14 states. Every partner and full time employee holds minimum of B.A. in Accounting. Tax prep fees are based on time required to complete your work; not a set fee for each form. Existing business clients range from voice-over actor, martial arts instructor, numerous doctors and medical practices, several restaurants, internet sales, linen service, an art gallery, an architect, and a published author with revenues from $50k - $ 8m.

Mr. O'Rourke stated he sent copies of the extension but apparently the IRS lost the paperwork during those months they were supposedly submitted. Rick thinks the IRS dropped the ball on this since he states he submitted everything for us but I received no word from the IRS that Mr. O'Rourke submitted any documents to them. Rick's excuse is that the IRS is so big that they don't get everything but my opinion to Mr. O'Rourke is to do what you got to do to satisfy your customer. There has yet to be any implications from both parties about the screw up with the documents submitted. Rick never mentioned he'll take care of the issue for us which is the way he should've proceeded with this.

Very bad! Prepared taxes for 2 years. Just after 2nd year return submitted I got 3 warning letters from IRS and KY DOR about problems with 1st year returns. Very difficult to get IBS to amend returns (but they eventually did). Decided to move to different preparer - IBS would not provide copies of supporting schedules (depreciation) for new preparer. New preparer will have to re-create (if possible) 2017 schedules which will cost me $$. Makes me concerned that 2017 return is fiction. Complaints filed with IRS and KY Attorney General

I found Rick through Angie's list and he didn't disappoint. As a busy mom of two kids with a full time career, anything that saves me time is a plus. Rick was so flexible about meeting me somewhere close to my home/business so that I didn't have to drive the 30 minutes to his office. He, instead, drove 30 minutes to meet me at a local restaurant. I handed off my tax documents to him, then we chit chatted for a while. My kids were with me at our initial meeting and he was so kind to them. That year our taxes were completed promptly and accurately. This year, we met at the same location. Same thing, I handed off my tax documents. Luckily we chatted and since he heard me discuss my new job as an independent consultant, he explained that I should set up an s-corp. He quickly set it up for me and explained every aspect of it to me and my husband. He was a life saver.

My wife and I had made no real changes in our earnings and finances in the last three years, but were surprised to see our tax change drastically over three years. I assumed that is was because of some error that I was making. I contacted Mr. O'Rourke and explained our situation and he meet with me the following day. Mr. O'Rourke was pleasant and professional and in just a few minutes was able to identify the mistakes I had made and discussed how we would remedy the problem. He filled out the required amendments to our taxes and made sure that he could get them to me before his scheduled vacation. Our IRS bill went from owing $2,400 to getting back over $3,300. I couldn't have asked for a better person and company to work with on this matter.
On top of that Mr. O'Rourke wouldn't accept payment until I received my refunds to further prove that his corrections were working. Clearly a top notch company.
They will be the only company I and my wife will use for any of our future tax and accounting needs.

My Husband and I have an S-Corporation for his consulting work. Our prior tax preparer was charging us over $1600 to do our personal and business taxes which I found out is alot to have taxes done even with an S-Corporation. The service we were getting was horrible to say the least. I found Integrity Business Services here on Angie's list and was very impressed with the reviews. I called the office number, left a message and within an hour or so received a call back from Rick O'Rourke. I talked to Rick for about 45 minutes and explained our situation. I was amazed at how much I learned just within that 45 minute conversation. A meeting was set up for my Husband and I to meet with Rick to discuss our tax situation. After that initial meeting, we both knew that we wanted Rick to be our new tax adviser and preparer. Rick was quick to respond to every email I sent him which is something I as not used to. As of today, 2/19/2013, our taxes are completely done and so now I just have to wait until April 15th to mail them. In the past, our taxes were getting done on the day that they were due and that is when I would find out how much we owed. Now I know in advance which helps us to be able to plan for that payment come April 15th. Our landlord was also looking for a new tax preparer so we have referred him to Rick as well. I highly recommend Rick to anyone who has a small business and needs a fantastic tax preparer.

I'm always afraid of giving someone a "perfect score" as I don't want people to think I didn't put time and sincere consideration into my review. However, in the case of Rick O'Rourke and Integrity Business Services, I would be lying if I didn't give him the highest marks across the board.
My parents have gone to Rick since as long as I can remember, so I was grandfathered in to his business. Once I started working in college, Rick was the obvious go-to for my taxes. Unfortunately, you really don't know what you have until it's gone. When I moved from Kentucky to Texas with my {now} husband Kevin, we used an accountant closer to home (still a referral from a friend), and boy, was that a mistake! We paid more than triple what Rick charges, and eventually (thanks to Rick) found out my husband's name had been used in multiple IRS submissions - a possible identity theft situation, but the new tax group told us nothing and didn't do anything to help us get answers. Luckily, after 9 months of no refunds, no information, and no assistance from this new guy, Rick came in to save the day! He helped us get everything figured out.
Not only did he help us get the initial mess worked out, but he has also acted as a trusted advisor when it comes to Kevin's work and our businesses. Rick helped us identify the appropriate time to incorporate my husband's business and obviously took the reins in completing the process. He's also helped me get my business going and is now helping my mom start her business as well.
I have recommended Rick to anyone who mentions either needing a good, trustworthy accountant or wanting to start a business. You cannot go wrong with Rick. He is a true family man who understands the need to balance life and work, but he somehow always seems available for his clients. Not to mention, Rick is great about responding quickly. Whether I've contacted him via email, voicemail, text or facebook, I don't think it's ever taken him more than 24 hours to respond.
Truly, I cannot say enough fantastic things about Rick O'Rourke. I recommend him 100%, and I think you would just be silly not to trust Rick with your business as well!
