Owner did NOT inspect the job as promised upon completion of project. Upon this home owner checking the work done, liquid black creosote/soot had leaked out of the liner and was running down the rock wall inside and outside the building. Also found was standing water with large pieces of concrete crown debris inside inside the liner. I contacted the owner of the business, who finally came to see the problem, which he had written he would personally repair or replace any work done totally free of charge. So, yesterday, after viewing the damage, he said that he WOULD NOT do what he had promised. Instead, he would refund the labor cost only on the initial job. Then he said to go find somebody else to complete the job. Trust in the company?? NEVER again!!!

Work took place over several days. Haven't used the newly improved fireplace yet, but it is obviously in safer shape than it was when he began.

Cleaned chimney as requested. Offered suggestions as to wood, efficient use, additional services that were needed with estimates. A very professional sweep who knows his profession.

We had our three fireplaces inspected and planned to have them cleaned, if needed. Paul checked out all three, and since they didn't need cleaning, he only charged us for the inspection. He is very knowledgeable, professional and pleasant. We will definitely work with him again.

Mr. Joseph was on time, professional, and gave us some pointers on ways to keep from having to replace a cracked back panel in our fireplace. Will use again, good experience with this company.

Called in and spoke to the owner, got an appointment for the next day. He arrived on time and took care to lay out a drop cloth and cleaned out the chimney without leaving a trace of his work. He described the condition of our chimney, showed us how to use the hardware, and recommended a new grate and a manufacturer to look-up for it online. We also go the name and number of a few local firewood dealers from him as well. Overall a very good service and I would recommend him to family, friends, and neighbors alike.

Overall very positive experience. Arrived on time on agreed upon appointment date. Clean and professional. Did job as agreed for previously discussed price in timely manner. Cleaned up very well after job completed. Would use again.

The workman was on time. He gave me some pointers on the condition of the fireplace. He use tarps to protect the carpet, did a very thorough job of cleaning the fireplace and chimney and made sure that everything was cleaned up after he was finished.

One problem was they did not reply to my emails, I had to call them to set up the appointment. They told me they would call and schedule an appointment for 2011, but I never heard from them.

I spent about $60 for the job. I think I found them online. I will use them again.

Mr. Joseph performed a complete inspection on top of the house and inside all the fireplaces. He advised me that my flues were inadequate and capping to close them off was the best solution because I would always have draw problems if I tried to use the connected fireplaces. I really appreciated his honesty because I would have spent quite a bit more trying to get the fireplaces into serviceable condition and ultimately would have been disappointed. Mr. Joseph capped the flues with the best materials.

Everything went smoothly. As a first time fireplace user, I was giving precise and concise instruction on what to do, and not to do. He also gave me instructions on how to improve the fireplace, as a function of my usage. He also recommended other services (firewood, glass doors, tools, etc). The price was quite cheap considering how much i gained. The overall experienced was excellent.

Mr. Joseph was 5 minutes early, very courteous and professional, thoroughly checked the fireplace and chimney, took the time to teach me to use the damper and gas lighter correctly, and explained in detail the problem with smoke in the room we were likely to have when we finally did light the fire (and he was right - problem happened exactly as he predicted it would). We are having him come back next week to install a glass fireplace screen as well as the smoke guard to render our fireplace usable.
