HI-TECH TRANSMISSION

I stopped by Hi-Tech in December to ask about getting gears swapped from the stock 3.27 to 3.73 in my 2007 Ford Crown Vic. I wanted all bearings and seals replaced, along with the trac-lok (limited slip) clutches. They agreed that "all at once" was the way to go. As I wasn't in a hurry, they suggested I come in January when their schedule would be better -- and even said that planning ahead would allow me to purchase all of the parts online, saving me a fair amount of money over what they would have to charge if they sourced the parts.  They provided a written quote for $500 for the labor (6.25 hours at $80 per), assuming all genuine Ford parts. (Aftermarket gears can take longer to set up.) I ordered the ring and pinion, install kit, ring gear bolts, trac-lok rebuild kit, fluid, and friction modifier for about $400 in December. Contacted them the week before to make sure scheduling was still alright. Dropped the car over the weekend, with the parts in the trunk, and put the keys in the key drop. Called Monday morning to confirm. Got a call Friday afternoon that the work was finished. Old parts were neatly in a box in the trunk. Price was *exactly* as quoted. New gears are perfectly smooth and quiet, no whine at all, and I have the confidence of properly functioning limited slip and fresh bearings and seals all around.
I would trust Hi-Tech to treat me fairly on any job, from a simple oil change through rebuild of an electronically controlled transmission. Great people, and highly recommended.

Hi-Tech was able to work within my schedule, I live 35 miles away. We went to Hi-Tech on the recommendation of Angie's List and we were not disappointed. The transmission had been abused due to towing and I was looking at replacing or rebuilding. Jeremy communicated their repair expectations and worked with us to ensure that we were informed about the possibility of any extra cost. The work was kept within the estimate and nothing was accomplished with promptly notifying me and waiting for my permission. When removing any exhaust manifold you can anticipate a stud breaking and if I were to do it at home there would have been a lot more than a single breakage and added tons of frustration.

The bulbs were there first thing this morning and I was told to come right over which I did . I was on the road again within 30 minutes. I especially appreciated this as we are expecting a serous ice storm this afternoon and I wanted to make sure the car was safe and in top notch order.
I had a referral to Hi-Tech a few years ago for wheel bearings and they have taken care of my car since. Their sterling service is always professional, helpful and polite. They can be trusted to handle any issue I have had. I would not use anyone else to work on my car or hesitate to highly recommend them to a friend.
I always pay special attention to the staff and customer care given to other clients who come in while I am waiting for my own car. They have a refined level of customer service with regard to safety and I have overheard them suggest to customers a list of priority issues, associated costs and plans to accomplisth all with safety being the foremost priority. Any business that offers this type of focus and all round reliable and courteous service deserves to be on Angie's List. Trust. They are the best!

These guys are excellent, they did exactly as they said they would. They are courteous and communicative. Above all, they are honest and fair.

This is the second time I have used HiTech. I wasn't sure what was wrong, but they were able to diagnose the potential problem and provide a realistic plan of attack. They weren't 100% sure it was the motor mount at first, but it was the starting point. They called to review their diagnosis prior to doing the work. They were 100% up front that they weren't 100% sure the motor mount what the only problem, but knew it was a starting point. Once they fixed that, it was determined it was the problem and no other work was needed. Their cost estimate was accurate. When I picked up the car, they even showed me the defective mount and explained why it was doing what it was.

A very nice and professional bunch of people. They gave me an estimate and time frame in which they would be done. They did everything that they said for the price they said. They even offered to drive me home when we brought the car in. You can bet that

Overall, the experience was fantastic. They provided a very accurate estimate for the cost of repairs, and got the job done quickly!
