The first job was O.K. She made some design mistakes, but should have been supervised more carefully. The second job went badly. Heather is not a high-end designer. Her creative expertise and execution is fair. But on a small, low budget job she would be fine, with two exceptions. First, her follow-up on getting a project finished/ and ready-to-go is poor. Second, her professionalism and integrity with billing is a problem. On the second project, we had a hard deadline, and she had well-defined responsibilities in terms of getting a house furnished and completed on time. She put a few things in place, was "researching" others, and dragged her feet on doing anything concrete. I ended-up picking up the ball on almost everything because someone had to get it done (as opposed to talking about getting it done).On the billing, she had been given a substantial deposit on her billing hours. When the project was finished, because she had not executed some/many of the items agreed-to, there was money left over. She promised a final accounting more than once, along with a refund on whatever was not spent, but it was never done. By my estimates, there was somewhere between a thousand and two thousand dollars unaccounted for. Never to be seen or heard from again.
