It took 2 visits, which is fine. First visit, he determined that the lock needed to be replaced. For some reason, they don't carry replacements, so i bought one at Lowe's and the guy came back and installed it. Everything went smoothly.

Seth was great. He was right on-time and was quick and efficient changing the keys on four entrance doors to my business. He also adjusted an interior door that was not fully closing correctly. I thought the pricing was very reasonable for the work I had done. I will happily choose Grott for any lock/key related issue I happen to have in the future.

He was able to get the lock open and replace it with a much better lock.

Very punctual they didn't have any appointments for a few days then they called me bc they had an opening guy came out pretty quickly. Very nice and got work done quickly.

We have just moved to a new house, and I wanted the locks rekeyed.  Each deadbolt in the house had a different key, and there were no keys at all for the locking handles.  I had a Grott locksmith, I think his name was Darren, out about a week after we moved in.  He was on time, but upon looking at the locks, he told me that he could not rekey them so they were all on the same key, because the deadbolts and handles were different brands.  He recommended that I go to Lowe's and buy a set of Quikset locks and have him come back to install them, because if they replaced the locks, they would be marked up and cost a lot more.  He also recommended that we add a deadbolt to the garage door for extra security.  So i did just that, went out and bought all new locks, and called them back to reschedule.  

The second guy, Brandon, came out on time.  He was very polite, looked at what I needed done, and went right to work.  Everything got done in under an hour, and the locks work perfectly.   For some reason - and this would be the only negative - he took away the little tools that you can use to rekey the locks yourself.  I called about this and he brought them back the next day.  Other than that, great service.

We recently moved into a new home.  Justin re-keyed 7 total locks, provided several new keys and replaced 1 door knob.  He was great to work with.  We scheduled the service late in the day on 9/24/15 & he arrived promptly at 10AM on 10/25/15.  I highly recommend Grotts Locksmith.

Our business was burglarized so it was very important that we had same-day service. The provider called before coming out, showed up on time, and completed the work quickly and professionally. They were willing to invoice us (so I didn't have to pay the locksmith before he left). I felt the cost was less than we had anticipated

I recently bought a house in Lexington, and since it had 5 door locks, including 2 deadbolts, I wanted to have them all re-keyed instead of buying new. I checked the Angie's reviews, and settled on Grotts after talking with them over the phone. She gave me an estimate of the price (which ended up being close to what I paid) and set the appt for 8:30am on a Monday. She said to do 5 locks, if he didn't run into any problems he should be done in 1-1/2 to 2 hours.
He showed up a few minutes early, immediately went to work taking apart all the locks to get the key tumblers, and was off to his van to re-key in about 10 minutes. Probably took him about 30 minutes in the van to do the 5 locks and to make me 7 keys. From start to finish, the job took him just under 1 hour.
I was very pleased with the work he did, and how fast he was able to get it done. If I need a locksmith again in the future I will definitely use Grotts, and would recommend them to anyone.

I brought in 5 deadbolt locks for re-keying. They were done before promised time, and all worked well.

We called three places to get the work done. Grott's was the place that had locksmiths on duty in a store where we could take the box. The broken off key was removed and a new key cut in less than 15 minutes. The guys in the shop were personable and very efficient. We will definitely call on them for future locksmithing work. One of our apartment buulding door locks had been broken and they were able to repair without having to replace entire lock mechanism. We called and even though we are approximately 45 minutes from them, they arrived within an hour, took less than 20 minutes to repair and now the tenants are happy.

They are pretty good. I know one of the locksmiths there and I try to deal with him whenever I need locksmith services, since I know him, it helps sometimes. They are always good, whether or not the guy I know is available. They can be busy at times but I can pretty much walk in unless there is something unusual or if I don't have any time to wait. Lot of times they take care of it while I am there. The price is reasonable, I am not sure if it could be cheaper but it is worth the money. My wife had them make a new key recently and they had a money back guarantee. I think she had to take the key back and they worked with her, until they got everything going. It can't get better than that unless one has them come on site. They charge pretty much like a plumber does when they come out onsite, maybe $35 just to show up at the door and start. They generally get the work done as quickly as they can and if they are backed up or something it will be done sometime that day or the next day. They are always nice, friendly, and courteous and they know what they are doing.

They responded very quickly and completed work fast. Everything works well and pleasant to work with. Charged by the lock plus service call. Only thing they couldnt do was open a skeleton key door (another general contractor was able to).

They were always prompt, friendly, and easy to deal with. We had no problems with anything they provided for us. Everything they gave us was always correct.

Every time that I've used them, they give you exactly what you want. They give you the prices up front and there is no hidden fees. They are on time and do the work they say they will do. I would absolutely recommend them to my friends.
