 + -1 moreBrass Tacks: If you have a VW TDI and need work done, you go here. PERIOD. I am a Professional Engineer with quite a bit of wrench time so I know intelligence / experience / plain American knowhow when I see it. This shop has it. You are throwing good money after bad and getting an inferior product if you go anywhere else. The proprietor built a 600HP Audi. He knows his Ps and Qs. He knows your car better than you do and hasn't seen it yet. Best shop in the area. Go here FIRST for all your automotive needs. They will be doing my 2011 Toyota Tacoma next :)
Description of Work: Specifics: I had a check engine light (AutoZone computer showed Glow plug #3) and it was time for a timing belt / water pump replacement (200K miles). I had purchased a FrostHeater system so I could plug my car up in the winter (last winter was rough on the old girl). I also wanted to delete my EGR cooler / valve. My mileage of late had crept down to <42mpg. I drive from Lex to the Ville for work and need to squeeze out another 200-300K, so I wanted them to check the powertrain for issues. I had recently done the timing belt and water pump on my kid's Beatle (2.0 EFI) and didn't want to deal with all the coolant again so I did some on-line research (and word of mouth reviews). PROFESSIONAL was how Fast Enough was consistently described. Uh, yeah! I mentioned wanting some performance enhancements and received a LIST of prices / available stuff. A LOT of coin, so I stayed with the basics mentioned above. I knew I would have to pony up for an ECU flash to delete the EGR. Fast Enough knew I wanted to enhance the cars performance. 2+2=6 for them I guess because they had the ECU flashed with the European tune for no additional charge. I went from 80-90 HP to >150HP and now have~300ftlb of torque! My last 2 fill ups have gotten 50 and 48 mpg. Not bad eh? They discovered one of the 2 fans was dead and asked if I wanted to replace it (after telling me the cost). They investigated the overhead cams etc. and determined I was good to go. I had some issues with credit cards and what not at payment time (security measures are 2 edged swords) and the young man at the desk soldiered through it all with me. No worries. Questions?  + -1 moreI dropped my car off hoping to get a diagnosis and estimate on fixing a long existing oil leak Ive had in my mk3 Jetta. I have a very custom car so was very pleased to see that it would be no issue to work on my vehicle. Chris and his crew are very knowledgeable and clearly very specialized in VW and Audis. I was notified of the problem causing my leak and given a very reasonable price quote for the needed services. Car was ready and picked up 24 hours later and hasnt ran better since Ive owned it. Very please long time customer and will continue to only have my VW's serviced at Fast Enough.
Description of Work: Fixed a long lasting oil leak that ive had on my custom TDI swapped Jetta.

 + -1 moreWe dropped my car off in the morning and before lunch heard back on the diagnosis. The called to let me know and give me a price quote and told me my car would be ready by closing time the next day. It was ready by lunchtime the next day I picked up my car and it worked great! I wish I'd taken it in sooner! They were friendly and courteous both on the phone and in person. I am always very happy with their work.

Description of Work: I needed a part in the automatic shift replaced. I would have needed to buy the shift for about 300 dollars to replace that one worn part. Instead, Chris, the owner wanted me to replace muffler (part of it) for a total price of 1500 dollars. I passed on this. I felt they were trying to take advantage of me. a 66 y/o female.

 + -1 moreEveryone I dealt with at Fast Enough Performance was professional, courteous and very knowledgeable about Volkswagen vehicles, especially TDI engines. From the look of their lot, and the range projects that are done there, these guys know how to fix TDI's. My TDI runs better than it did before. The mechanic even recommended other repairs that needed to be made to my vehicle, without pressure me to do them himself. Turn-around-time was rapid, and I had my vehicle back to me in one day.
