Exhaust Pro

I've been loyal to this shop but after two bad experiences in a row I will be moving on. In the latest, they made a mistake that put my car out of commission for a week, beyond what they worked on originally (which was north of $800). It was an accident, and things happen, but it was very inconvenient for me and my family, lots of lost time and energy dealing with a rental car and car seats and shuffling around our little kids. They covered the expenses related to the accident but if they valued our business and recognized what an inconvenience it was, they never said anything to indicate it.

I dropped my car off the night before the service appt and picked it up the next day.  Got a call that morning saying it was ready and they gave me the price.   The work they did was fine.   But what I didn't like was the dude at the counter (heavyset guy) had the personality of a cold toilet seat -- not a hello, not a thank you, not a come again, nothing.    I don't expect to be treated like a celebrity, but how hard is it to be polite to customers?  I walked in, say hello, gave them my name, told them what car I had, everything with a smile and good attitude.  I was the customer, it was my money, I could have gone elsewhere but I chose that business -- in my line of work, we always are grateful for customers who spend money with us.    Whatever.  Next time I'll go somewhere that has staff who can at least be minimally pleasant to customers.

I always take my cars here to get oil changed. I also took one of my cars in to have an oil leak checked and to get a tune-up. They told me that the oil leak wasn't particularly bad and that I could wait if I wanted. On the tune-up, they told me that they'd be glad to perform the service but that I didn't need it. I certainly appreciated the honesty and will take my cars there for repairs in the future.

Wife came home mid-afternoon, a horrible sound and loud bumping told her that her muffler was either 'torn off', or 'damaged'. A quick check with Angie's list showed that Exhaust Pro had good ratings, and were barely 15 min. from our home. A quick phone check said that they would try to get us fixed up before 5pm, if we came right away. They were friendly, prompt and very professional in their undertaking. In less than an hour our car was fixed, and we were on our way and all for less than $200! I would definitely use them again, and recommend them to others! Nelson French

No one likes to go in for auto repairs, and all of us think we get charged 'too much'. But I will say that Kevin has always been someone I felt I could trust. Someone who would honestly tell me if something 'could wait awhile' before rushing in for a costly repair. Someone who would not hesitate to look at the repair/cost ratio in light of: and quot;....if it were my car, right now I would.....and quot;.
I guess the highest recommendation I can give him is that so many other auto shops recommend him when they can't locate exactly what I need. That's a testimony to quality service. And although I cannot speak personally for every person who works for him, I can say that Kevin has always given me fair work with a friendly smile.

The only good part of the service was the speed in which it was diagnosed and repaired (roughly 40 minutes total). It was a mount for the muffler that had broken off. I pointed out the work was performed 16 months ago and the mount must not have been installed properly at that time, using the reasoning that the car had 95,000 miles on it before it even needed a new muffler. I figured under the circumstances the establishment would stand by their work better than this by at least pro-rating the work. Additionally, I compared both receipts and the misc. Exhaust Installation hardware on the 1/24/09 receipt was $19.95 and the Exhaust Hardware Kit for repairing the mounting post was $24.95. I paid the bill and will never get my vehicles serviced their again.

They provided great service and we'll go back there again for other repairs.
