Home Building
Initial bid was very high relative to another bid I had, but I was installing expensive Marvin Integrity doors and went with who they used, figuring their experience with these may be worth the extra cost. I couldn't have been more wrong. I was hit with a huge change order cost after the installation. It was my mistake to pay it so soon, but when I looked at it more closely I had a lot of concerns that some of the stated work hadn't been done. My last call to the rep I worked with was on 4-30 and I requested he come out and answer my questions. He told me he and a carpenter would come out when he could set it up, and don't worry he wouldn't forget me. I don't know how they were broken, but two bricks that were not broken, were broken when they left. I overheard one of the carpenters talking on the phone saying he was going to seal brick with caulk. Needless to say I haven't heard from them since. Learn from my mistake.
