We have used Comfort Heating and Air since moving to our home two years ago and have been pleased with the company's service. When our current heat pump system stopped cooling on a very hot Thursday last week, they responded within a few hours to our call, sending the Service Manager, Matt Mekus, since it was a time of high demand. Even though it was pretty obvious that our old compressor was burning out (it had to be cooled down with a water hose!), Matt worked for several hours to get it temporarily running again. He gave us detailed information about a replacement system and when we expressed dissatisfaction about the way our current system cooled and heated our house, he suggested changes in duct work to increase efficiency. The installation team, Sergey and Serhiy, arrived early on Monday morning, and, working quietly and efficiently, had the new system, complete with revised ductwork, installed by mid afternoon. They took the time to show us how the new system worked. We could definitely feel the difference in cooling in our house and slept for the first time that night without an auxiliary fan in our bedroom. We are extremely pleased with the work done.

Ray was the service technician. He was prompt and pleasant. Our unit is a 5 year old Bryant. Ray performed a service checklist on the furnace and A/C. He listened and answered all our questions. The service lasted 20 minutes. Everything checked out OK. The service was reasonably priced. We have been happy with Ray and Comfort Heating & Air over 3 years and we will continue to use them.

J.R was the service technician. He was on time, pleasant, listened and answered all our questions. The unit was a 5 year old Bryant. J.R. checked the unit and fount the problem in 10 minutes. The capacitor had gone bad. He replace the capacitor and the unit was running in 20 minutes. The service call was fast and reasonably priced. We've been extremely happy with J.R. and Comfort Heating & Air over 3 years and will continue to use them.

The tech arrived by 11 or so due to a cancellation. Given it was a hot Monday, I really appreciated that. The tech checked the inside thermostat, then went to the outdoor unit. A few minutes late he presented me with what he called "a bad capacitor." He said it would cost $276 to install a new one and he was not sure that would solve the problem. I took a risk (my family didn't want another hot, sleepless night) and let him install the part, even though the cost seemed high priced. The unit started making cool shortly after the new part was installed. The tech sat in his van for 12-14 minutes. I thought he was waiting to let the system run a bit, then he would check the freon pressure. I've never had an AC repair that did not involve checking the freon--until that day. He drove off without ever checking the freon pressure. Not good. A few days later the AC is blowing hot air all night long. My regular guy (NOT Comfort) comes out at 7 am. He has to add 2 pounds. He says he can't believe the other tech didn't do that. Then he tells me Comfort robbed me on the cost of the capacitor. He said even with a decent mark up my bill should have been under $100. So I paid dearly for a quick response resulting in an much overpriced and incomplete service call that caused a second very hot night. My wife has agreed that we'll wait for the regular guy rather than dealing with the likes of Comfort again.. I checked my records and it discovered that freon had been added to out AC every year for the past several years. It was all part of a AC check up and I had not noticed. So the leak did not occur in the interim between the Comfort service call and the second service call.

Technician arrived an hour later than the appointed time. He articulated that he did not want to go upstairs to figure out what was wrong. He spent all of his time on his cell phone texting. He took two hours to run his diagnostic test and told us that he thought it was a leak in the line but that he had no idea where it could be or if they could even fix it. There was no leak.

I got a call back almost immediately and Ray made it out within a few hours. He quickly troubleshot the issue, found the drain plug stopped up so the unit wouldn't run. He not only took care of the problem but gave a quick once over of the other unit to make sure it was working properly. He was very knowledgeable and professional, I would recommend them to anyone who has a need.

Ray arrived on time and was professional. He saved us a chunk of change as he was able to replace a couple of parts and get the system going. We are hoping we can hold off about 2 years to replace the whole system. We shall see, but right now it is working great!

While on vacation, our house guests noticed that our air conditioner was going out. I first called the folks who installed our unit - who promptly told me that they couldn't get out to see it for about five days and that anyone could work on it. I decided they didn't want my business and called Comfort Heating and Air. Wow - what a different experience! From the first person I talked to who took my information to Rachel who scheduled my appointment to James who came to fix my unit and had to call me to tell me what was wrong since I was out of town, the Comfort team was outstanding. They fixed my unit in just a few hours and I think it's working better than it ever has before! I will absolutely call the comfortman again!

Appointment was easy to schedule with times available to meet my needs. Once appointment was made they followed up and reminded me by text message and email of the appointment. The technician called about 20 minutes before he arrived to let us know he was on his way. The professionalism and knowledge of the technician James was very obvious. He did his work efficiently and checked our system thoroughly. We have used Comfort for years and all the technicians have been very professional and today we got one of the best. The price paid is the monthly cost for the service contract to maintain the system.

I received a good faith estimate from the owners son and quoted a remarkable price for the job at hand. technicians were at home basically next day and were very professional about their job! owner followed up with me to ensure address was correct and that i had met the technicians that he sent out to me. all and all the furnace was installed and we are very happy customers and would hire this company again in the future!

J. R. inspected the furnace and AC and made recommendations for both immediate and long term projects. He cleaned the furnace and replaced the filter. He even showed us what we could do ourselves, such as giving us options for increasing air to the furnace via additional vents or installing a louvered door. He gave us an estimate for restoring AC duct work to back of house and even recommended the names of two specific Comfort technicians to ask for to do this work. We couldn't be more pleased.

I called on May 2 to get an estimate for replacing our upstairs heat pump that had been non-functional for two years. Comfort scheduled the estimate for the next morning, and Ryan showed up promptly as scheduled. Unlike any of the other companies we called for an estimate, when Ryan walked through the door, after introducing himself, the first thing he did was start looking at our setup - asking about the number of registers and return ducts we had, and asking if the rooms were comfortable when the unit was working. He then got his ladder and went into the attic to see how the old unit was installed, and took pictures of everything - old unit, ductwork, placement of registers and returns, etc. - including measurements. After completing his inspection, Ryan sat down with me and told me everything he'd noticed, showed me the pictures he'd taken, and recommended that we replace two return ducts with larger sizes to balance the in/out airflow. Part of this discussion included showing me the airflow calculations for the size area we are heating and cooling. Ryan gave me a hand-written estimate before leaving, and promised to send me an 'official' estimate with all details when he got back to the office - and I received those within a couple of hours. I reviewed and asked Ryan to send me an estimate for a higher-end unit, which he sent promptly as well. I had several other estimates scheduled, and Ryan checked back several times to see if we had made a decision. We got estimates from 4 companies; Comfort was not the cheapest, but they were within a couple hundred dollars of two others; the fourth was about $1000 lower than the other three. After getting all the estimates, and arranging financing, we decided to go with Comfort because we felt that they were price competitive but had done the most thorough inspection and we just had a better comfort level with their whole process. I called to schedule the installation on the 12th, and asked if we could do it on the 19th because we were going to be out of town for a few days. Sergey and Serhiy showed up right on schedule, and got to work immediately by removing the old system components, both indoor and outdoor. As the day progressed, Sergey and Serhiy kept us informed of their progress. As Friday afternoon became Friday evening, Sergey came and informed us that there was a problem - there was a microscopic leak in the new coil, so small that it didn't even form an air bubble in the soap test, but he could hear it whistling and the pressure in the line was dropping. He had called and they were checking to see if they had another coil in the warehouse in Lexington or if one would have to be brought down from Cincinnati - which would determine how quickly it would arrive. We asked if that meant that they would come back on Saturday or Monday to replace it. We were very surprised when he said no, he would be there until it was done that night - he didn't want us to have to go through the weekend without it (despite the fact we'd already gone two summers without a/c since the old unit quit). The replacement coil arrived about an hour later, and Sergey and Serhiy got to work swapping it out. A couple hours later, they had everything up and running, and our upstairs was finally cooling off. The payoff happened on Saturday night, when the kids and I returned from a quick trip to Chicago. My son started up to his room, and as he got to the top of the stairs he said "It's not hot up here anymore!". We can't say enough good things about Ryan, Sergey and Serhiy. My gut tells me that many other installers would have started the unit up and left on Friday, so they could get to their weekend - and deal with the leaking coil the next week, whether it kept working all weekend or not. Maybe I'm just jaded after dealing with my fair share of contractors who are just in it for the money, and others would have done the same thing and replaced it that same day, but I doubt it. One thing is for sure - when the downstairs unit needs to be replaced, the first place I'll call is Comfort Heating and Air!

Ray Wallace was the Technician. He called when en route and showed up on time. Ray educated me on my HVAC units and answered all questions that I had. The temperature was too cool in order to get an accurate reading on my pressure. Ray advised for me to wait until it was warmer outside and call again for a re-check (no service charge).

One plus is that my dog like Mike and my dog is a good judge of character. The installers Sergey/Serchiy were very professional, neat, and on-time!
