So for 2 days, my a/c wasn't working, it was 90 degrees in the house, our go to hvac company is comfort heating and air. A gentlemen named Taylor Burton came over, and was able to fix the issue quickly, within 10 minutes, and also changed the filter to the unit. Thank you Taylor Burton, for the excellent work you did. 5/5 stars, and I highly recommend this company to anyone. They do a good job, I know, because I've used this company before.

They installed the unit 4 years ago. My fan motor locked up. The part was covered by warranty. However, I was charged over $400 to have it replaced. It took the guy less than 15 minutes to do the job. Total scam job for replacing warranty parts! It’s actually the second time I have had them come out to replace a warranty part. The first time was similar. It took the guy 15 minutes and cost me over $300. On that occasion the technician told me that my unit had a known defective part and they had been replacing them frequently. Technicians are great (friendly, knowledgeable) but total scam job on cost for replacing a part that is under warranty. Buy a new unit from someone else. I made 3 requests for a service manager to contact me and have yet to get a response. If you are looking for an hvac company that communicates and has fair pricing you will not find it at Comfort heating and air.

Comfort Heating and Air has been my go to for any heating and air conditioning service or repairs. Great pricing, convenient and very respectful workers. They put in new central air about 3 years ago, and it works better than expected. No problems! You won't regret working with this company. They do it right, and continue to make it right. Considering letting this company to replace my heat pump and air conditioning on the other side of our home. (2 units here) Rated EXCELLENT!!

Cody was fantastic and provided truly exceptional service. If I could give him 10 stars, I would! He went above and beyond in servicing our unit, diagnosing and identifying the issue, replacing and installing the proper part (capacitor) needed. He was courteous, kind, and I would specifically request him again.

Dishonest, shut my furnace off and refused to turn it back on unless I did a full replacement. Sent a technician for routine service, despite my wishes for no further service, and billed me without a quoted price upfront before the repair.

The work they seemed to do was pretty good. So far our system works just fine! However, there were quite a few things the techs did that seemed disrespectful. First, they didn’t even introduce themselves and we didn’t know their names. Second, they really didn’t communicate with us during the entire day and it was very difficult to understand them. There was a clear language barrier that made it extremely difficult to understand them especially when we tried to ask any questions. We were essentially kept out of the loop the entire day with what they were doing. Third, we felt there was a lack of communication between the techs and maybe their supervisor or manager. We informed you that another contractor would be present who needed to do floor construction and water heater removal before the new furnace could be installed. The techs seemed to not be aware of this or how long it would take him to work. We communicated prior to today that he would need a few hours to work but the entire time he was working, the HVAC techs were hovering over him while he was trying to work and kept expressing their disapproval of how long his work was taking. This was very disrespectful and hindered the contractors ability to work, especially in a timely manner. Also, the old water heater our contractor still needed parts from was taken from the techs without consulting us. This caused our contractor to incur additional costs when we already had the parts. We’ve communicated that to the company however, we’ve received no response as to why our water heater was taken without consulting us first. Comfort gave us the impression we would’ve been kept more informed about the work being done and that we would easily be able to ask any questions if we had any. After today it seems this was not the case. We are very happy to have a new HVAC system especially before the summer, but neither we nor the contractor had a very pleasant experience with the HVAC techs.

JR Disponette came within two hours of my call Sunday morning, diagnosed (with photo evidence) the problem and scheduled work to begin early Monday am. Quang and Thi came as scheduled, worked diligently all day and completed installation just after 5pm. All persons involved from Comfort Heating and Air did an excellent job. Price was comparable to what my neighbor payed for the same work (different company) last month. The equipment is of reputable brand, locally sourced and under warranty but as it is newly installed I can’t make any useful evaluation of its quality at this time. I can, however, comfortably recommend Comfort Heating and Air to prospective customers for fast, professional, courteous service at competitive rates.

I was told I needed a coil replacement by another company, and decided it was better to replace the whole system since it was so old and more cost effective. After getting quotes from a number of other companies a friend recommended the comfort man and I soon realized why, they are very honest, professional and knowledgeable starting with the conversation with Robin when I called to set up my appointment for an estimate, to Mike and Chase who came out and gave me a through overview of what to expect in replacing my system complete with pictures so you could see what they were going to do. This exceptional service continued with the install team Ryan and Kurtis as well as they texted and then called to let us know they were on their way, they explained what they were going to do during the install process, explained the thermostat and how our new system worked and showed us photos of our installed system very through and when they left you could not tell that any work had been done it was that clean. Would and will be recommending this company to others.

First of all...I’m not one to send out a good review if it isn’t deserved. (Too much of that going around.) And, I usually wait a while to make sure everything is satisfactory AFTER the repairman leaves. So, that being said, I’m taking the time to give this company the credit it deserves. It was around 8pm on a WEEKEND in August. Central air was blowing hot air and it was HOT! I called Comfort and they had a man working in our area, so he was here within the hour. He immediately diagnosed the problem and installed a new capacitor. It took him about a half hour. We were extremely happy. Capacitor was under warranty so that saved us a charge for that. These people do their best to satisfy their customers. I use their services because they are the best there is. They are: Professional, punctual, trustworthy, and very good at what they do. Thank You Comfort. I hope this review helps your much deserved business.

I've been a Comfort H&A customer for around a decade or more, and I've not been disappointed in any of the work done by this company. From the day I called till the installation was complete was a matter of 3 days plus a quick finishing job the following morning. I found the analysis and explanation of options very useful, and the install was great--Chris made sure everything was exactly as it should be, even taking a part back to the shop to make sure I got what I had paid for. He did all of this with a pleasant, patient demeanor on a very, very hot and humid day. If you live in the Lexington area, this is the company you want taking care of your HVAC system.

The good news is that they are quick to set up an appointment and it was same day. The bad news is that they are extremely overpriced. $250/lb of freon? They wanted $1,000-1,400 to recharge the AC unit, and to replace it was also overpriced. How this company has gotten an A on here is beyond me. Unbelievably high prices, especially for a KY company. Look elsewhere.

If you are reading this you must be exploring HVAC companies in the Lexington area. I took another approach, thinking I would rely on the credibility of a local big-box home improvement store. Through them I met the Comfort Heating & Air team. The big-box led me into a nightmarish situation deal involving some hot-muggy days and some sub-zero nights in my house. Fortunately for me, there was ComfortMan. They have proven their integrity, sticking with me until the proper resolution to my problem. Having no doubts whatsoever about their technical expertise, most of all I can say they are just plain good people, every one of them. So my message to you is to just call the ComfortMan.

This is our second time working with Comfort Heating and Air, replacing the downstairs system this year after the upstairs system failed last year. I called early Monday morning, and got a call back within the hour. JR came out and checked the system, confirming our old R-22 system had sprung a leak in the coil. It wasn't completely discharged at that point, so was still cooling some - just not enough to keep the lower level comfortably cool. JR gave us three options - he could simply recharge the system, which would eventually leak out and we'd be back to square one, with a few hundred bucks less in our pockets; we could replace the coil and hope that nothing else fails; or we could replace the system with a new system with higher efficiency and a ten-year warranty. Having been down this road a year ago with the upstairs system, we opted to replace the system. JR confirmed an opening for the next morning, and Sergey and Serhiy arrived shortly after 9 am. We were familiar with them, as they'd done the install a year ago. They got to work immediately, saying they'd be finished between 3 and 4 barring any unexpected problems. They got the old system out and the new system in place, even replacing the circuit breaker in the panel to accomodate the larger auxiliary heat strips. They left the area clean and took all the boxes and packing materials back along with the old system. Everyone I've dealt with at Comfort has been professional, reliable and courteous. Pricing is competitive for this area, but metro areas are quite a bit higher than rural. System replacement in far western KY would have been about 1/3 less than here in the Lexington area.

Mike and his team went above and beyond to make sure we were satisfied with every aspect of these replacements. Day 1 - Upstairs unit team ( All Electric Leo and Austin were very thorough and respectful of our home during the process. They laid protective runners throughout the entire work area and cleaned up all of the loose insulation that made its way outside of the tarp. They both respected our home as if it were theirs. Day 1 and 2 - Downstairs unit team ( Split Electric & Gas ) Cody and Leman were both outstanding! Always answering my questions and explaining what they were going to work on next in the process. I can think of several times of when I was asked if I had any questions or concerns. We didn't even have to call in a plumber for the black-iron install, so nice to work with a team that can do it all! Thank you guys!
