Very professional, clear communication, thorough and gentle examination of my cat, reasonable rates. Great follow-up as well.

Very professional. 1st visit somewhat chaotic due to pet emergencies. Staff was very apologetic and even forgave some of the expense. However, normal fees are quite high for exams and medications. Several times after when calling for appointment or information, person said if not an emergency would I mind being on hold. When I said "no I don't mind", my hold was interminable and I hung up after about 10 minutes. Changing vets again.

It went very well.  They were able to figure out the problem (they have a doc there that specializes in dental issues) and get our pet in quickly.  The entire staff was professional towards us and very knowledgable and caring in treating our pet.

I've been using Clays Mill for about 18 years, and I trust them completely with my animals' health. The staff takes good care of the animals, and I have no problems with their services at all.

My dog received excellent care. She was treated for a skin infection and was otherwise pronounced healthy. Dr. Blair is very caring, knowledgeable, and easy to talk to. He has an wonderful bedside manner with animals. His staff is friendly and helpful. I take all my animals to Clays Mill and would not want to go anywhere else for their primary care. I like that Dr. Blair will text with you about any concerns, and will take emergency calls at home.

My 6 yr old toy poodle had very bad breath and tarter on her teeth. Tarter control biscuits had not helped. I had recently moved to Lexington and was concerned about having my small dog anesthetized. A co-worker told me Clays Mill had been her vet for many years. Her cat required anesthetizing on 2 occasions and both had good outcome. So I called Clays Mill to discuss what they recommended and I scheduled the procedure. All went very well! The staff, tech, and Dr. Blair were friendly, informative, and professional.

Staff was pleasant and informative since this was the first time I was looking to board our dog. Prices were reasonable and the location was handy. They send reminders about when shots are due, which is nice. I wasn't thrilled with the canges since there wasn't a run, but staff didwalk her several times each day. I also asked for her to be bathed before picking her up, which was done as well. I'd use them again!

My 5 y/o male cat was straining in the litter box, then there was blood in his urine. We called Clays Mill Vet and they got him in the same day we called. It turned out that it was an emergency situation and they had to keep him overnight for a few days. He received fluids, catherization, sedation, meds and a special diet. They gave us an estimate of a $900-$1000 range. We paid a $400 deposit when we dropped him off early in the week. They were very accessible when it came to checking on our cat while he was hospitalized. The vet decided to keep him a day longer than originally anticipated, but they didn't charge us over the original high end of the estimate. They discharged him on Friday and gave us the vet's home and cell phone numbers in case of emergency. They also gave us the information of the local small animal emergency clinic. Over the weekend, our cat remained lethargic. I was able to text message Dr. Blair who gave me basic instructions via text, since he was out of town. Our cat went back to the vet the early part of the week. Dr. Blair was able to get our cat back to good health without a serious surgery! We are very satisified and our cats will be returning, as needed.

I have used Clays Mill for years. Dr. Craig Blair is our vet. His wife, Dr. Melanie Blair, is the other vet in the clinic. I have consistently experienced excellent care for my animals, through their adult lives up to and including assisting them at the time of death in my home. This time I only stopped by to pick something up, but I was as usual treated with the utmost friendliness and courtesy by Janice, one of the vet techs whom I know well.

I have been going to Dr. Blair (both of them) since Brandy was a pup and have always received the most kind and caring professional service from them. Brandy has had a few health issues through the years and they have always treated her with, what I would call, a real passion for helping animals. Their staff is always friendly and ready to lend a hand.
