Leak in ceiling( water damage ) left old unit parts for me to clean up, had to have unit serviced every summer since installed 4 years ago, unit currently out AGAIN.

Terrible! Do not use them. Stood us up on first appointment, came hours late on second appointment, quoted price and realized they made a mistake and rushed to our home early the next day after verbal quote with a contract to cover their error. Denied the quote they gave us. I did not see the contract or I would have kicked them to the curb before they ever started. I stated they would try to get extra warranty for us. That did not happen. I would not recommend them and will tell everyone what they did. The employee flat out lied about quote and warranty. Dee Wade

Do not use them. Called to see how much it would cost to have a fuse replaced on our heating unit, was told it would be $60 to diagnose the issue. I also asked what the hourly rate would be to replace, why not save a trip to lowes, and they were unable to answer. The service tech called on his way saying it would probably be a motherboard with could cost $1000. At this point I already decided I would decline any repairs, obviously I would get ripped off. Once at my house the technician made the repair without any approval. He then stated it would be $250 FOR CHANGING A FUSE. But thankfully he felt bad and said that for the same price I could just get a gold membership, lucky me! Once I called and explained on the phone to the representative what happened she simply said she would "share the complaint but couldn't do anything about it." What a bunch of sleazy con artists you have.

It went very well. Very responsive service when my ac went out and they installed a new unit on the same day I called. The technician, Matt, was very friendly and did a wonderful job explaining the technical aspects of the situation and made an otherwise very stressful scenario not seem stressful at all. Definitely recommend Bryant Heating & Cooling

The tech got mad because I chose to not pay to have him fix it. He wanted to charge me $250 plus $60 for service call to change a $16 capacitor. I paid him the $60 and said thanks but no thanks. Other places quote $150 or less for repair. He complained about how he had to drive an hour here to look at my unit, just for me not to have him fix it. Refused to give me any kind of part number. And on top of that, took my screws that hold the units paneling together with him. Left it half way slapped together, held together by 1 screw and left. I called and spoke with the manager and he issued the $60 back to me via "check threw the mail" and said he would send a tech out to put the screws/ paneling back together. The next day a tech knocked on the door, handed my wife the screws, and left. Very unprofessional. And way way way over priced. And aperently they don't know how to put back together what they take apart. lousy work ethic and attitude. I use "a.d.a heating and air" normally and they have never treated us this way. I have never in my life received that kind of horrible service from a company that is getting money out of my pocket. This place is a joke. I will never use their service, never again!! buyer beware!!!!

The price will include the inspection in the Fall. I didn't really deal with the air conditioner person, but he was very nice. I thought the price was high because sometimes they advertise for a little bit less so I'm not sure I can responsibly compare it to someone else. On quality, nothing was wrong so he didn't have to fix anything I don't believe so I would say it was fine. On punctuality it was absolutely an A. I would say to a friend if you need immediate work on your air conditioner or whatever that they're very prompt, and very professional, and very friendly. I would highly recommend them. I kinda went away for the day so I'm not sure how well he cleaned up but I think he did fine. He didn't have to get into the attic or anything for the other units it was just the outdoor air conditioner. There wasn't much of a clean-up he had to do. I really can't say that there's anything that stands out or that they need to improve on. I'm not that knowledgeable about that kind of work.

Bryant sent William King out, he took a charming video of the "gas roll out" and said the gas was now shut off. We went over my options.... (nothing=no heat) and (several new furnace models=heat) After a couple of phone calls, I decided on a new furnace, and they arrived about an hour later and began the process of installing the new furnace and new duct work. It was now after 5 on a Monday evening. Every step, they were unfailing professional and polite. (and with 4 guys under the floor, I heard every ouch and all the silly jokes) It was cold miserable conditions, I wrapped up in the quilts, but they were under the house! They got the heat going and returned the next day to finish the duct work. I am very impressed with the work ethic every member of the team displayed. The price for the work was reasonable, and it is a very well done piece of work, all duct work properly hung and well insulated, the furnace a new Carrier. The total price was 6500.00 for the Furnace and 2800.00 for duct replacement (8 registers and 4 returns).

One of my heat pumps broke down. I called Bryant Heating and Cooling. The tech came and in less than 2 minutes without turning the unit on, told me that fan motor and compressor was bad and gave me an estimate of $3900 which he reduced to $2970. He was advocating of buying a new unit for $10,000 (and reduced the price further to $8500 cash) which will carry warranty. He did not want to specify warranty I will get with replacing the parts. I sensed the guy was trying to sell the new unit.

I talked to Lexington city, KY Branch Manager, Mr. Evan Boggs. he was rude and found him agitated from the beginning. He kept on defending his best technician (Ha, Ha, Ha). His behavior was incomprehensible for the manager who failed to control his anger and understand the issue. He was not interested in customer concern about shady service his company performed.

Called Stewart A/C and Heating after reading positive comments in the Walnut Creek Drive blog. The technician, Tom Browning came and concluded that fan motor was bad. He replaced the motor and unit works fine. Cost was under $450. Tom is knowledgeable and a pleasant person to deal with. Excellent service.

This is a good example of how some dishonest HVAC repair services try to take seniors for a ride.

The repairman came out on Sunday. Bryant Heating and Cooling advertises that they will come on the weekend without charging extra. The fee for checking my unit and diagnosing was $60. As soon as the repairman got to my door, he asked me what repairs I had done in the past. I told him that my UPSTAIRS unit had freon added two years in a row. I told him they may have added a little freon in the DOWNSTAIRS unit. He said if I have added freon more than once, that I needed a new unit. He said the EPA mandates that. He proceeded to check the downstairs unit. I went out there to watch and he said, "wait and listen for a click when I try to start your unit." Of course, I heard a clicking noise. He said my compressor was down and I needed a new unit. He said since my other unit had lost freon several years in a row, I needed to replace that unit. He gave me prices for good, better, best, running from $9564 to $13,006 for two units. He told me that if I ordered today, he could have a crew out the first thing in the morning. He gave me a hard sell. I told him I would wait and think about it. The next morning I called Cecil's Heating and Air and they came out and said it was the capacitor. That repairman said the freon levels in both units were ok. They replaced the capacitor and said it would cost about $200. Both units are working fine now. I have no doubt the man from Bryant only wanted to sell me air conditioners and perhaps took advantage of me as a woman, thinking I would simply buy from him. He acted like he was on commission.

The service worked, but it was very expensive. I would not be using them again due to the price. They came when they said and they were there on time. They were professional, but I think they could have given more details on exactly what they did to include the serial number of the unit.

I noticed on a Friday morning that my AC was cool but not blowing properly. I was going out of town that afternoon until Sunday afternoon. I called Bryant (due partly to their ads saying they work on the weekends) and they sent someone out pretty quickly. The tech noticed that my system was "frozen up" which indicates that the coolant is low. He said they couldn't check for leaks until everything thawed out, but he also noticed something making some kind of noise that he said meant the compressor (I think) was probably going out. He gave me written estimates of $3720 for repairs (compressor, blower motor, leak search, and refrigerant) plus $2194 if I needed a new indoor coil, plus $2194 if I needed a new outdoor coil, for a potential total of $8108 to repair my current system. He also gave me a quote of $8750 to install a new system instead of doing repairs. I gave the tech a check for $60 for the service call and we scheduled a return service call for Sunday (when I was returning to town) to check for leaks after the system thawed out, and see if I needed new coil(s), at which time I was going to decide whether to repair or replace my system. The company called me on Sunday morning and said they didn't have anyone to send on Sunday (so much for their ads) and rescheduled me for the next day. That was probably for the best, because I had time to stop panicking and call another company. The other company came out on Monday, spent a few minutes explaining to me that the loss of some refrigerant is normal over time even if there is no real leak. Since I hadn't had refrigerant added to my system in 6 years, and it only needed 2 pounds added, the guy said that might have completely taken care of my problem. That was 17 days ago and so far my AC is working perfectly. So, I paid the second company $140 total ( $80 for the service call and $60 for the refrigerant). I think the moral of this story is pretty self-evident, but here it is anyway: Make sure you get another opinion if Bryant heating & cooling tells you you need expensive repairs or replacement of your AC system!

Bryant sent out a team who installed the air conditioner; the old air conditioner was taken out of the house and in the process got the basement carpet dirty(they did have someone clean the carpet after we called to start the process). The next day, we had a pool of water under the air conditioner; they came back out and fixed a hose that wasn't connected. We called again as wires were lose or not connected outside. They came back out and said the work by the 1st team was sloppy and not installed right. They came back out and reinstalled the air conditioner. The Jefferson county inspector came out and said that it didn't pass inspection and needed to be reinstalled. So far if you are counting, it has been 5 times that someone has either worked or looked at the air conditioner. We are not happy and have sent in the post card survey which said that we wanted someone to contact us. No contact!! We would not recommend Bryant for any of your air conditioner needs.

I got home from work one hot summer day to find out second floor AC was out. The first business I called was Bryant. They were very helpful over the phone when I called and the Technician arrived on time. The Tech spent about 10-15 minutes evaluating my system and said about 10 lbs of coolant was gone. Probably due to a "crack" or "leak" "somewhere in the system." He then supplied a written estimate for a complete heating/AC system replacement with "good", "better" and "best" pricing options. The prices were "$9,887.00", "$10,246.00" and "$11,664.00" respectively. This was for Carrier equipment and the estimate cost us $60.00. The estimate only indicated a difference in the labor and parts warranties, not in equipment differences and efficiencies. I didn't bother asking, since I was stunned by the prices. Eventually, other estimates, that were free and verbal, told me that the Freon did not leak out and that all of it was there. The problem was my 18 year old compressor finally gave out. After looking at the options of the three other estimates, we decided to install a new system from Bluegrass Climate Solutions. It's a 92.1% efficiency gas furnace, paired with a 14 SEER 2 ton AC system. Installation with a 10 year equipment, 2 year labor warranty was $5400.00. Much better on our pocketbook for a new system. Bryant was responsive and punctual, but their "mis-information" and pricing made me feel like a mark in a con game.

This is who to call if you need immediate service. Needed same day service, was told by every other HVAC in town it would be at least 2 days before they could come out to repair no A/C. Called Bryant, had a guy to the house within a few hours. I pointed the tech towards the problem, he said he could fix it... and did. Expensive. Bryant uses flat-rate... with a fancy sheet of level 1-5 jobs and what each level costs. Ended up being 3 times as much as it SHOULD have been had it been a labor and materials job. The repair Bryant carried out was the third time the problem had been repaired - the previous attempts by 2 other big HVAC companies cost nearly 3 times less for the same exact work. Think twice about calling Bryant if you're on a budget... but definitely call them if you need immediate service.

Filled out order online and someone responded within minutes, had service set up to be performed within an hour after contacted. Fastest service I've ever received!! Excellent service and Matt was very professional and knowledgeable. Cost for 2 pds of freon was a little on the expensive side but not their fault for the cost of freon. Would definitely recommend to friends and family. Couldn't ask for better and faster service anywhere else.
