Bone Dry Roofing & Masonry - Lexington

ame , I noticed the first person sent to rebuild my chimneys was his first day on the job,, While he had masonry skill it did not appear that he had steep roof experience. After noticing several near slipping incidents, I called the person who had estimated the job and expressed my concerns. Within 30 min additional worker was sent to make the work area safer and to assist in the repairs. Bome Dry cares and rsponds to customer concern and questions,. My roofing was removed and replaced and repaired as estimated both as to, time ,date and estimated cost. Guttering was professionally installed by independent contractor. My requests to change the slope and discharge points of the rainwater were accommodated even though it meant additional parts and labor by the gutter contractor.

I was going to have them to replace old shingles and put in new ones. I have not replaced my roof yet I may start the project later on this year. I will not use them in the future.

The BD Masonry team were promptly on site at least 15 minutes before expected. They worked efficiently and met my expectations.

They did the whole job in one day. From the curb, roof looks great. However, I have protruding nails and some wood splitting on the underside of the eaves all around my house, which necessitates more work. I am in the process of getting an estimate from another roofing company as to the cost of restoring a pleasant appearance on the lower side of the eaves. I was only made aware of the protruding nail and split wood situation after the whole job was all done and not earlier, which was disappointing, to say the least. I was in the house the whole time the job was being done, and I wish I could have been made aware of this earlier in the process. The roofer assured me he used the correct nails for the thickness of my roof according to some sort of regulations. All I know is that the underside of my eaves was not marred before they did the job, but certainly is now and I'm not happy thinking about the cost to restore them. The roofing team was professional enough, I guess, except for the rude surprise at the end. They did clean up very nicely before they left, which I appreciate and were courteous, etc. I feel I should have been told this situation was going to occur at the point they gave me the estimate even so I could have been more prepared. Updated 7/3/13 They defaced my house. If you are a single woman DO NOT use them-they will pull the wool over your eyes. They could have done something about the protruding nails since they are professionals and should have known before they started.

I called Bone Dry Roofing for an estimate as to the work they could provide me and the cost. The roof on my house had some nail pops and was in need of some shingle replacement. A gentleman was scheduled promptly to come and provide an estimate. He was punctual, professional, and took pictures of the work on the roof that needed repair. I felt the estimate he provided was an honest one and did not feel others could beat the estimate or work the company could provide. After reviewing other estimates, I decided that Bone Dry Roofing could not be beat in all areas and agreed to have the roof repaired. An additional repairman (that was punctual and professional) came to my home to do the repairs as agreed. He took pictures of my roof after the repairs were completed. I feel Bone Dry Roofing does excellent work and will be using them again in the future if the need should arise. I would recommend Bone Dry Roofing to anyone looking for an honest roofing company that does excellent work.

They were very professional. The quote was more than what another provider had quoted me. I think it was around $4600. They responded very quickly. The estimate they gave me was very thorough.

Everything went very well. I called the office on Monday April 8 for an estimate. Joe came that afternoon and gave us an estimate for the work. He said they could give us 2 options. One more expensive than the other. We chose the more comprehensive option. We signed the contract 4 days later and were given a target date of the week of April 22. They arrived on the 23rd, worked that day. On the the 24th they were unable to work due to rain. On the 24th they completed most of the work and then finished the chimney work around noon the following day. They contained their materials and cleaned up when the work was completed. The following Monday someone came to finish up the roof and flashing. Everyone was professional, answered all our questions and seemed to really care about their work.

We contacted Bone Dry Roofing for an estimate and spoke with Jade Marsh. He came out quickly and wrote up an estimate for an entirely new roof for our double-wide mobile home. We had to work around some bad weather but finally got a date to have the work done. The roofing materials were delivered the Sunday before (we weren't home) and were left in our driveway closest to our home. The crew showed up near the agreed upon time and got to work. It all went well except that we were at home during the entire process and we found it was unbelievably loud with all the pounding. It shook our home so much that one of our ceiling lights (the cover, not the entire fixture) came crashing down and scared us all! Also, the "popcorn" ceiling came snowing down all over the house. The work was all completed in one day and they did an excellent job on cleaning up the outside all around our home. We also had our two skylights replaced. We did have to ask them to come back to make the bare wood they used to build up the skylights look a bit more appealing from the inside as the bare wood was quite a contrast to our white interior walls and was very visible. They were going to cover the wood with a product that was nice but I asked them to simply paint the wood to match, which they did to my satisfaction. Over all, they did a great job, which our recent storms have proven! I would just recommend not being at home during the process if you or someone in your family ( I have my mother with Alzheimer's living with me) cannot stand loud noise! Also, a shout out to Sara B. in the office as she is great to work with!

Called for estimate - response was prompt, professional and was exact for our needs. Working team arrived, did their work and tidied up job within 3 or 4 hours.

After a couple of days of heavy rain, I noticed a huge brown spot on the ceiling in the family room. Being a new home owner, I could have easly used the phone book to locate any repair company, but decided to use Angie's List to find a reputable company. The comments for Bone Dry Roofing were very positive, no need to look further, they were the company for me. They came out, identified the problem, took pictures of the problem, showed us pictures of the problem, provided recommendation and an estimate to repair the problem. Job was done right the first time.

Bone Dry Roofing, Inc. - Lexington were great. They were extremely professional, they came out and did an estimate and they fixed the roof the same day and they came out within a day or two and they said that they gave priority to when there was a leak. The staff is very professional, very prompt, got right to it and did what they said they were going to do. We had no problems with them at all.

We fought a leak over our guest room and fireplace for a couple of years. Servpro supposedly took care of the problem in 2011, but in 2012 we noticed additional staining on the ceiling. We could also hear water dripping in the fireplace. Servpro conviced the insurance company that we needed a new roof. The roof was replaced in February, 2012. A couple of days after replacement, the roof leaked again over the same room but in a different place. By then, we were disgusted with Servpro and AIC roofing. We called Bone Dry Roofing to come out and inspect the problem. The general manager, Jude, said the flashing around the chimney appeared to be installed correctly, but he would like to do a water test to make sure. Two days later, he came back with another person. Jude went into the attack, and the other man got on the roof with a hose. As soon as the water was applied to the center of the new flashing, Jude could see water coming into the house. While on the roof, both men noticed holes in the mortar joints in parts of the chimney. They noticed we had a flat chase lid, and that could be causing water to collect and drip into the fireplace. Jude recommended having his masonry person inspect our chimney to see what needed to be done. The man agreed the mortar joints needed to be repaired, the chase lid needed to be repaired, and the chimney needed to be sealed. He also provided us with pictures of what he found. All of these areas were repaired or replaced, and we just had the chimney sealed when the weather was warmer. We have had no leaks since the repairs were made. Very reputable people whom I would recommend to anyone.

The quote was for $12,000. They seemed pretty straight forward. Everything was done in a business like fashion. I think the price is in line with other estimates.

James arrived on time. He was professional and worked all day in COLD, WINDY weather, never complained and stayed focus. I am amazed at how hard he worked and completed the job in one day by himself! I was able to pick out the color of flashing, which, I did not know was a choice. He was very polite. It was a pleasure to meet him and we appreciate his work. He discovered the roof was rotten around the chimney and he purchased plywood to replace the rotten area - at no additional charge. That is ABOVE Customer Service! An Excellent Worker and a Nice Gentleman! It is nice to know I no longer have to stress or worry that my ceiling may leak. He also came over the next day and attached my vinyl siding that had come unattached prior purchasing of our new home.., he drove out of his way to keep his Word.., that to me is the " AMERICAN" way of doing business! Installed and fixed leaking chimney cap.

They were easy to contact, got back to us quickly and were able to come by for an estimate quickly. Estimate was cheaper than other companies that we got an estimate from and included more items that they suggested for maintenance. Job completed in a timely manner with professional employees and have had no problems with the work. Would use again.

They were very quick to come out and give me a quote. Think it may have even been the same day I called or the following day. I had a bathroom ceiling vent/fan that would allow water to leak in depending on the direction of the wind and rain. My only negative comment is that it took them several weeks to come back out and actually do the work but then again it wasn't an emergency repair. They also brought out the wrong vent for replacement and had to come back several days later to actually make the repair. The people were very polite and courteous though. They were given a good rating on this site which is why I chose to use them. Overall I have been satisfied with the job that was done.

We were selling our house and Upon Inspection by Home Inspector a problem with the Chimney was found. We felt it Best to have the problem Fixed We used "Angie's List" to find a Masonry and "Bone Dry Masonry of Lexington Ky" had the BEST scores. We now understand WHY they have such outstanding scores! I called to schedule with Sarah and she was friendly and courteous. She took my information and said Joe Hodges would be by the same day to give me an estimate. He was prompt! From the moment we met Joe Hodges it was clear he was a man of his word. He told us what needed to be done. He and his team were respectful, on time and called to keep me update on the progress. We were also given PHOTOS of the problem areas as well as Final completion of the job.He answered all my questions in a way that I could understand. His team really works well together. The Invoice was Itemized and Detailed and to top that off he even gave the New Homeowners the Warranty as well as offer to show them how the fireplace works (free of charge). YES, I would refer "BONE DRY MASONRY" of Lexington KY, in fact we are using them at our New Home which is 50 miles away. I believe their price is AFFORDABLE, and FAIR. Their work ethics are above any grading system as they are HONEST, RELIABLE and they keep their PROMISE.

Joe and Jeremy were point me for my job and I have absolutely nothing bad to say. Of course I didn't want to have to rebuild my chimney but when they inspected it they showed my photos of where the water was coming in and we were all shocked I had not had any wall damage in my house yet. I went forward with the job and it looks great! I had options on how I wanted it done and was kept in the loop on any other issues that came up. The work was done quickly and the work was not an eye sore to neighbors while being done. I am gonna have these guys out to look at my roof next summer!
