August 2007 - The crew arrived on time, the work was done quickly., they cleaned up the site after the work was completed. Mr Manies was very nice and very easy to work with. When the work was completed and I handed him the check he said that if I ever had any problems I should call him. At that point my rating would have been all A's. Good job, quickly, efficiently and professionally done for a very reasonable price.
October 2012 - Fast forward to last fall- . I had returned home from a week away to discover a large leak in the bedroom ceiling. I called Billy Manies. He did not readily return my phone calls. I found a personal cell phone number for him and finally reached him in a Florida airport on his way home to Lexington. He said he would come. He did not show up although I called several more times. Several days later when his crew was working in my neighborhood, I went over to the worksite to see if I could talk to him. He was not there, but the crew promised to tell him I had asked him again to come. I had another contractor doing some work for me and one day while they were working inside, Billy Manies showed up. I showed him the leak, we looked at the roof and he promised to come and do something about it. He never returned.
We attempted to repair the leak, but it is still leaking and now in August 2013 I have discovered that the flashing around the chimney has been leaking for sometime. I have no idea yet how much damage has been done or how much the repairs will cost, but this roof is only six years old and I should not be having problems like this. I have recently heard from others in the neighborhood that they also have leaks developing and have had the same trouble getting Billy Manies to respond. I am hiring someone else to try to solve the current problems. I would not trust Billy Manies to make these repairs because there would be no guarantee that there would not be more leaks in the future or that he would honor his commitment to take care of any problems which develop. .

They were very easy to work with, prompt, had good communication with me, and the roof turned out great. Overall I have been very satisfied.

Well, he was very reasonably priced I must say. He figured out the leaks were coming through the exhaust fan. He is just a small independent guy, but, uses other help sometimes. He put a roof on another house for me before and I liked him them. A lot of people use him and also like him. They have all said that he did a good job for them. I paid him up front for some of the work then I had to wait for a bill. He did show up right when he said he was going to.
