B & D REFRIGERATION

I was referred to B&D by another Angie's List service provider... no, not a different HVAC provider. We purchased this house in Nov 2010. It appears that the current HVAC system was installed around 1992. Although we weren't having any problems, we wanted a thorough inspection and HONEST evaluation: check out everything and tell us the truth... if we need a new system, tell us so... if we don't, tell us that too. Don't try to sell us something we really don't need. And if it's not broken, don't tell us that we need to have it fixed.
Mr. Charles Allen came to the house. He spent 3 1/2 hours ($85.00/hour labor) checking heating and air conditioning... components, operation, freon, everything. He found the system to be old but still in reasonable working condition. He recommended cleaning the A/C condenser coil ($79.00) and replacing the condenser fan, motor, and capacitor ($237.12 parts, $85.00 labor). We had him perform all the recommended actions and everything has been running just fine. We know that the entire system will have to be replaced within the next few years, but we aren't prepared for the expense now... if it really doesn't need to be done yet.
We have complete trust in Mr. Allen's integrity, ability, and recommendations. In fact... our daughter bought a house in June 2010 and we had Mr. Allen perform a similar inspection for her.
I can assure you... if/when we need HVAC service or replacement, it will be B&D Refrigeration... and Mr. Charles Allen... that we call!
