Air Tech just put in a new hvac in my house yesterday. It was a great price, and they did a fantastic job. Even did all the prep work on day one (of 2) so that we weren't without heat overnight (the old unit was still functioning, just very old). I would absolutely recommend them.

I needed replacement of my upstairs and downstairs heating and cooling systems and after accepting bids from about five providers, Rusty at Air tech Inc was the most helpful in answering questions for my home's needs. The Air Tech crew showed up at 9am and by 4 that afternoon I had two new systems up and going with no mess and no problems. Everyone should do business like these guys! Good thing is, I got my units installed just in time for summer as the very next day we were hit with a heat wave and my house has never been cooler.

Rusty came out and reviewed all of our options and we went we the best option we could afford. You cannot compare prices from one company to the other unless you are comparing the exact same product and SEER ratings. Several other companies came in with a lower bid but with 13 SEER units (government minimum). We went with 16 SEER American Standard units. Basement unit was 97% and upstairs was 80%. A/C units were 16 SEER. Installation was very professional and we hardly knew there were here working. I just rented my daughter a house for college and the owner was installing a new system in that house and she told me that she was using Rusty and had used Air Tech for ~20 years. Thank speaks for itself. I highly recommend Air Tech

We had a gas fireplace that ignited but not stayed on. I called two fireplace service companies-one would not be in time for the service and the other I would not feel comfortable with on the basis of the telephone conversation. Then I called Air Tech, with whom we had good experience over the past many years.  The lady who answered phone was very friendly and informed me Air Tech did not normally repair fireplace but promised to check with their tech guys.  Then she called back that one of their guys would come by to replace the thermocouple (as I mentioned that thermocouple might be the problem).   Doug came by, first checked the thermocouple but could not find anything wrong with it, then he cleaned up the pilot assembly and orifice and fixed the problem.  Even though he is not specialized in the gas log fireplace, Doug was determined to solve the problem. I was happy with Doug's work.

The repair went well. The old unit was removed and the new gear was installed and tested.  The new system is more efficient than the old equipment so we hope to spend a bit less month to month.

We have a 12 year American Standard heat pump that has worked well since we bought the house 3 years ago.  We also run a wood stove in the winter.  Recently, we had a serious cold snap during which we just relied on the heat pump.  But, it was so cold that we became concerned because our heat pump started to run constantly.  The original serviceman told us the compressor was bad and quoted for replacement of the compressor and the entire unit.  This started us down the path of collecting replacement quotes, which resulted in another opinion stating the compressor was fine and no need to do any work (kudos to that honest guy too, but I will get to that later on his site).  Now the dilemma occurs and questions arise on how to use the heat pump.  To make a long story short, I got the Air Tech contact from the American Standard website when I was trying to look at an owner's manual for our AS.  The person on the phone did not identify himself, else I would be using his name in this review.  I told him that the AS website had listed him as a source for a manual, he said he would try to get a link for one but also took the time to ask why and what I was looking for.  I gave him the long version of the above story and he proceeded to give me a thorough explanation of my heat pump.  I know, I know, one should not give advice over the phone, but after listening to his education about the heat pump I had and answering his questions about its prior performance, he suggested that perhaps the latest tech was right, there was no problem with the pump.  When I asked if he would like to come out and evaluate the heat pump, he said he would be happy to do that, but perhaps we should wait till warmer weather and the point where we would use the air conditioning.  He said that should be the next big test for the compressor.  He felt that the recent issues were driven by the severe cold snap we were having, not a faulty compressor, and I would be better off waiting.  I was amazed by the amount of time he took and his honesty and his frankness.  He had a very common sense approach to this matter. I am grateful to him for his time, honesty and knowledge base (he could have explained this to a child and made them understand).  No doubts about it, I will be calling Air Tech for my HVAC issues in the future.

Contacted this company about the fan on our heat pump not working.  I told them it wasn't urgent, but they still managed to get someone out here the same day.  It took the technician just a few minutes to diagnose the problem (bad capacitor) and repair the unit at a very reasonable cost.

I moved to this area about 3 years ago and have had a number of HVAC repair people out, and this is the first time I didn't feel robbed.  I will be calling them again to service our units in the spring.   Honest, punctual, friendly, and knowledgeable!!

I had a gas leak in my crawl space and it had to do with the furnace. Whoever installed it didn't do it properly. It was actually going through a return duct and I could smell gas in the house. I have really enjoyed working with the Air Tech guy. He has been very fair with his prices. I have not used anyone else here, so I don't have a comparison. When I moved in here, he was recommended to me by the guy that inspected the house. He told me that he had used him and he seemed to be pretty thrifty-minded. I would hire him again.
