The installer ADT sent from SecurityAlarmNow constantly tried to upgrade. He drilled 2 holes that could not be used and put in a poor patch that he said 'I could paint over'. I was due a $100 VISA gift card that I could claim 90 days after install. I needed a contract copy which was never sent. I called 4 times to get the contract and found that SafeStreetUSA now owns SecurityAlarmNow. I was handled very rudely by the agents, they told me they had 'no control' over the contract document, I could not talk to a manager, they had no contact with ADT....Finally I contacted ADT by going through their corporate website and got their customer service line. I was sent my contract. Now the adventure begins to see if my rebate arrives.

The transition went well and we have no complaints.  We had a serious alarm situation and the call center agent was fantastic.  The absolute best!!!

Installation went fine. The guys stayed late to get the install done. Gave us adequate instructions to use the system. I was not crazy about paying a second party extra fees to be the broker and now I find that my on site service is through a second party. I thought I would be serviced by ADT. After a couple of weeks the dogs set off the glass break alarm via a dog door or barking. Police came out, false alarm. I called ADT to get someone to come out and adjust the sensitivity. I got worried when they said I should get a call within 24 hours from the service company " Protect Your Home". Then they said if I don't get a call within 24 hours to call them and made sure I got E number. Great, so it's a week later and still no call so I have to make a second call. If I had realized ADT was farming this out I may have went a different way. Also I have one of the sensors on the front door dropping and binding on the door. Not great.

I have had to call them to mention the changing of a battery. They have called or sent something mentioning a low battery in the past as well.

I currently have ADT at my home in Virginia, and recently purchased a home in Kentucky. The home already had a very old security system with Pinnacle, but I couldn't get them to answer the phone, so I decided to switch. ADT offered what I thought was a good deal, and was very accomodating to do a Saturday afternoon install. The technician arrived right on time, did a walk through of the house and started figuring out the placement of what I had ordered over the phone when I signed up. We were moving in at the same time that he was there, but he worked around us. He was quite a talker, and probably could have finished the job faster, but as it was he finished in a couple hours which worked for me.
The only downside, and the reason for the B overall and on price, is because of all the up-selling the technician did (who also was clearly a salesman). After he analyzed my house, his proposal was to add additional equipment and sensors to the tune of $1600, most of which I found to be absolute overkill. So I took him back to square one, which is what I ordered over the phone. Then I decided to add some window sensors, which he did work the price down on.
In the end, I'm happy with where we ended up, and the technician did a professional job on the install and training. Just a little frustrating getting a sales pitch in my living room when I thought I had already agreed on what I had bought. But overall, I would recommend ADT and would use them again.

I would advise people to use a local provider and not a national chain.
Our alarm is spotty in terms of use. It often goes off for no apparent reason. ADT is of no help is resolving the situation.

Very pleased with overall installation and monitoring with ADT. When calling ADT they seemed to be very knowledable, professional and efficient.

The installer explained everything and was very quick in installing the system and checking it out. You can access the system remotely through the web or IPhone or Ipad in case you forget to arm it or if there is an alarm you can see which sensor it is.

It's hard to say anything about ADT because when I got it the initial equipment came free as long as I let them put a sign in my yard for 2 years, but they do their own wiring and clean up their messes. But in terms of the actual maintenance stuff I haven't run into much because other than us setting off the alarm a couple of times accidently you don't know they are there which to me is the mark of a good security company. If the system is installed right and it's working properly you shouldn't know that they are there. I like it because if we need to keep track of what the kids are doing we can fix it so that every time they open an outside door we know somebody is coming in or out. You can do that and it would alert you and I like that about it. It runs quietly in the background and we don't know it. They were fast when we accidently set off the alarm and called my cell phone because no one was home. I think they are very good and they bill me automatically so I don't even have to deal with the bill. I think monitoring for fire and medical and break-ins and stuff for a $1 a day is reasonable.

I called and enquired about replacements and they scheduled the appointment and had someone come out and do it. He arrived at the appointment time and did what he was supposed to do and went away. It was a relatively no fuss operation. My overall experience is positive. The batteries were covered on my agreement and I had to pay them just a small fee of about $25.

Their service was excellent but the installation was not so good. It took longer than they thought it would take. That was not really a problem but they accidentally knocked out our internet. That made me lose two hours worth of work because I work from home. They did not accept that it was their fault.

I give them A's for everything. I'm glad to have it.

So far, we like them fine. The only complaint that we have is that they exaggerated a lot on their TV commercial about the number of monitoring units that you get. We didn't get nearly the 15 that they said would be included in the installation special. The pricing is average.

I have no problems. I was on a vacation and the first time in three years, they raised a bill for two dollars and few pence. I have no complaints. In terms of quality, it's on the wall and it works.

The last time they came to our home was for a part of an installation process over several months. They installed cameras outside and made some changes for us. We had a great experience with this company. They were great at working with us. The technicians were excellent.

We have had a good experience with them.

Service was OK, contract was a scam, customer service is typical in repeating the company's policies. Maybe its the policies that need to change with the times.
