Showed up on time and when he said he would. Done that day. In general, these guys are busy but the owner communicates with you about timeline and expectations. I have had pretty good experiences and have continued to use the service happily.

Brian called and made arrangements for winterizing the irrigation system on Oct. 16. He showed up as scheduled and prepared the irrigation system for winter. He also made a few repairs at "no cost". He is wonderful to work with and their prices are extremely reasonable. I am so grateful that he services my lawn( I live in Jeffersonville, Indiana) when he comes to Louisville to service other lawns since the company is located in Lexington. But I am now on his list of people that will be serviced automatically every season to have the irrigation system turned on and off without having to call and get scheduled. I am extremely busy working 18 hours a day and this is one less thing I have to worry about. I would recommend this company to anyone. My grass was green, greener, greenest all summer long!!!! When Brian left he said that he was always just a phone call away if any questions arose. Thank you Acacia Irrigation for your help. I am one very happy customer!!! Robin W.

Brian, from Acacia Irrigation contacted me about a week ahead to time to let me know when he planned on coming and make sure it was convenient. He came in June at the agreed upon time and did a thorough inspection of each of the sprayers. He found a couple which needed to be replaced and had the parts with him to do so on the spot. They he turned the system on and made sure that all the sprayers were hitting each area of the yard they were supposed to and the the entire yard was being sprayed. He spent over an hour or so checking everything. He also explained to me some of the other services they provide such as landscape trimming, and pond cleaning. Brian was knowledgeable, friendly and made sure all my questions were answered before he left. He said he would call back in the fall when it was time to winterize the irrigation system. Their prices are very good and the service is outstanding.

Things went well, they were a bit swamped this spring but overall did a good job getting the system installed. I suggest fall installation if you can, this way you can reseed and be ready for a full growing season. As with any installation I had a hiccup or two but they responded swiftly and when we punctured the irrigation lines during deep aeration they were here the next morning to fix things up. Much fairer in price then other companies.

Prepaid for service and contacted company multiple times to schedule work. Always an excuse as to why they didn't respond. Told multiple times they would contact me with no follow-up. Terrible!

Unfortunately we would be emailed with timelines your available sometimes only a day or two before hand which is not possible to fulfill. Service work is schedule with others in your area and is dependent upon setting a time when we are servicing your area. With the recent string of rain events scheduling has been delayed and sometimes difficult to plan. If you would still like us to try and schedule something we can. Otherwise you may go ahead and get a refund since we have not been paid for service work yet. We are only paid when it's completed. Thanks for the opportunity Brian w/ Acacia"

Service was excellent and price was incredible compared to previous company. Saved 110.00 off the same service. Brian walked me around the system and provided information on the grass we had that would allow us saving water when system was operational. He is very professional and knowledgeable. Communication was an issue with last provider but Acacia uses texts and emails to stay in touch and keep us updated. Would HIGHLY recommend this company.

This contractor is not equipped to handle large landscape features. All work done had to be redone by a professional hardscape engineer. The installation of retaining walls and electrical wiring was not done to building specs. The retaining walls fell before completion and sadly Acacia never returned to complete the project. As a result, I paid him several thousand dollars and he never provided the services.

"Work was not completed by our company, and verbal agreements on site regarding costs of project were not honored (from miscommunication on both the customer and Acacia's part), so job was suspended, and we both decided to part ways. We did try our best to complete this project based on what was estimated originally and multiple changes during construction. We could not stay on same page regarding the project so it was a better decision for them to have project completed by another contractor. I enjoyed working with them from a personal standpoint and regret we were not able to complete their project."

I selected Brian's company over his competitors for three reasons: 1) very high Angie's List ratings and positive reviews 2) the significant difference in price between Acacia and other local irrigation system companies and 3) his responsiveness. From the moment I submitted an inquiry online, Brian was very responsive, answered all my questions, and followed through quickly. His crew showed up as scheduled and worked hard, finishing earlier than I expected. Brian and his crew kept me up to date throughout the whole process and even did a few things for me that they weren't paid to do (like installing a pop-up emitter in my front yard). After my builder laid sod down, Brian came back out quickly to make sure all of the sprinkler heads were working properly and calibrated to maximize efficiency. He taught me how to use the system and was even kind enough to replace a few broken parts at no charge after the sod company damaged them. Beyond that, he taught me how much water is really necessary for new sod so I don't over-water and cost myself more money and ultimately ruin my new lawn. I highly recommend Acacia based on the quality of work and the price. Based on my experience with Brian and his team, I wouldn't hesitate to use them for other services in the future.

Expected them to start by first week of June but we had a lot of rain and not many consecutive dry days so they didn't start until first week of August. Late start is reason for C rating on responsiveness. The owner was out of town when weather was dry enough to dig but sent supervisor to start work. Supervisor seemed very knowledgeable and friendly but did not show up each day at the time he said he would (reason for C rating on punctuality). I found out later that he was having to do double duty catching up on standing landscape contracts since owner wasn't there to help with the work load.
This was very frustrating for two reasons: 1. it was obvious our project was not a priority once it was started and 2. even though I work at home, it threw off my schedule (going to the gym, meetings, etc.) because I wanted to be around when workers were at my house. A simple call or text message with a realistic estimate of when someone would actually show up would have enabled me manage my schedule more effectively.
However, when workers did show up, they worked very hard and behaved professionally. The owner came by several times when the job was completed to make sure everything was installed correctly, that we knew how to operate the control module and that we were satisfied with the work. Overall, I think we got good value for our money. The weather situation was a bit uncommon for this area and was the major factor in the delayed start. I would hire this company again for future landscaping projects and I expect to be able to give them all "A"s the next time I rate them.

We initially chose Acacia Hardscapes to install our irrigation system because the price point was significantly lower than the estimates we received from 2 other companies for the same system.
From the time we signed our contract for the irrigation project Brian Woods, President, was in constant contact with us to arrange for installation. The irrigation system was installed in December and a leak occurred in our basement wall during the installation process. Acacia worked diligently to ensure this leak was fixed to our complete satisfaction.
We were so satisfied with the irrigation system and Acacia's commitment to customer satisfaction, personal service, and high quality work that we contracted with Acacia to install all new landscaping in front of our home and to install lighting in both the front and back yards. We relied on the recommendation of Brian and his crew for the selection and positioning of plant materials and lights. Their recommendations were exactly what we were looking for and the results are fabulous. In fact they even included some surprise features for us that added to the overall effect.
Communication was ongoing during the times Acacia was working on projects at our home. E-mails, calls, and texts were always answered promptly.
We will definitely use Acacia for all of our future landscaping needs.

I called for an estimate and Mr. Woods responded quickly. He spent time so that he had a thorough understanding of our needs. He formulated an estimate quickly which I received by e-mail. Once we had agreed on a price then the work proceeded quickly. There were a couple of delays due to weather and then arranging concrete delivery, but these were short and would be expected given the outside work requested.
Once the work was done the concrete forms were removed in a timely fashion, the work area was cleaned and left in good repair

We are new to the area and have not been pleased with trying to get any work done. The fellow from Acacia Hardscapes was really nice and he did a very nice job. I was pleased with the work and pleased with the price. But I had to beg and pull teeth to get him to come out. When he did come out I was supposed to get an estimate and did not hear from him, so I had to call him back. I tried to get estimates from four different people. His work was excellent however and his crew was great as well. My problem was the timeframe. My first contact was the end of April or first of May. It was only through my perserverance that I got them to come out and do the job. The price was not a problem, I just couldn't get a response. I had the same experience with other companies in the area. People don't seem to want to work or perhaps they have more work than they can handle. This was not weather related or anything so I'm not sure what the hold up was. My husband would call and leave messages as well. They always had an excuse as to why they didn't get back in touch with us. They are nice people and professional when you can get them. I will be using them again in the Spring.

"Unfortunately, we did have a difficult time getting in touch with this customer. They did leave messages at the beginning which were unreturned by our company. This was only because of myself (Brian - Owner) not being available for a good part of the month due to a serious family illness with my wife. After we were able to overcome this illness (breast cancer), we were able to move forward with their project. We had minimal contact but had arranged the work. It was delayed though due to this conditions. We looking forward to future work this customer in upcoming years. They were great to work with."

Excellent. They finished the job on time and came back and leveled and seeded the areas disturbed. I highly recommend them to anyone who is interested in installing a lawn and landscape watering system.
