This was the best experience we have had in a long time when needing repairs done to our home. Phil is very reliable and dependable and his staff is a pleasure to work with.

He has the exact product names and colors needed for the repairs. All I wan is that information to give to the new contractor. He will not answer the phone

Mr Phillip Barnes returned our call immediately and came to our house to make an estimate that day. He was very professional and personable, not like some whom I've encountered in the past. His estimate was extremely fair and reasonable, and that combined with his obvious expertise, made it easy to hire him on the spot.
He was able to start in a few days and came promptly at the appointed time, with his assistant (his son - also a very nice person). They proceeded in a professional manner and did an excellent job.
My house is 80 years old, constructed of brick with a stuccoed second floor. Mr Barnes and his son erected scaffolding and accomplished the job in a safe manner.
My next door neighbor's house is all stucco, and he, seeing the job Mr Barnes did, hired him on the spot to repair many cracks and ruptures on his house.
If I could give and A+, I would do so. I'm older and have seen many workmen in my years, and rate him among the very best.

Phil Barnes is an excellent choice for this work. I had received several quotes and they were all over the board (from complete tear down to targeted parging). His price was comparable to other independents, but his knowledge of the work and willingness to work within my budget was the deal maker. His references raved about his work, cleanliness, and professionalism.
Phil took on this job over the weekend and showed up everyday on time, cleaned up every time, and was extremely quite throughout the process.
The finished project looks fantastic! Phil was able to manipulate the concrete to provide a brick look in areas where the faces had popped off. Given the chimney was going to be painted (which Phil did with left over materials), this was not an issue
Phil also has resources to craft chimney caps for custom dimensions. This is a huge plus as the big boxes do not provide in-stock dimensions for what I need. Come summer (once the birds has flown the nest), Phil will be installing the custom cap.
He is not limited to chimneys as does all masonry, wall, concrete jobs. I plan to use him again at another location to fix a chimney, steps, and stucco repair. He will also do side projects, such as painting etc and has resources in other businesses.
Phil did have to purchase more materials as some of the bricks were more damaged than anticipated. Though he did not ask for reimbursement, I did compensate him for the incremental costs.
He stands by his work. Highly recommended.
