The service went very well. The owner is one of the best contractors I have ever had. He was able to point out a number of problems with the downspouts and was able to resolve the issues for us. He also replaced a few slate panels on the roof and repaired the wooded fascia around the house. He is a perfectionist. If he finds something he did not see before he will fix it free of charge. He owns the company with his wife. He is a great guy to work with.

Once the estimate was given, I told them to go ahead with the repair.  The job was completed in an afternoon.

They have done a number of jobs for us over the years and they are scheduled to do another one. We like the quality of the work they do. They may be a little more expensive than other companies but they are a company that we have come to trust. If they tell us that something needs to be done, we believe it and we know it will be done correctly. They always tell us what the schedule is going to be and when they are going to be here. Because they spend a lot of time doing roofs, they may come later in the day to let dew and moisture get off the roof. They also work later in the day so you get a full day's worth of work. They are an extraordinary company and the customer service is great.

He was a real craftsman. They did an excellent job and the price was really fair.

Godby came on time and did all work as described. When a later rain revealed a leak at one of the elbows in the downspout, they returned to shore up the repair at no charge. I would recommend them to anyone.

The work was excellent. Godby was on time, prompt, and very skilled at copper roofing. He also did an excellent job cleaning up, and, in fact, left the area cleaner than it was when he arrived.

Excellent experience. The gutters look wonderful and Godby construction is a pleasure to work with. It was an expensive job, but Godby still charges less per linear foot for this sort of work than most, and he does it right! Once started, the work was completed in a timely fashion and in an extremely professional manner.

I thought the leak was a gutter problem, but Jeff got on the roof, shoveled the snow off the roof, and said he would come back to do a permanent fix. He wouldn't take the whole estimate amount for coming out, and later charged me $200 less than estimated! They bend over backward for their customers. Jeff and his wife were great! I can't say enough good things about them!

My husband and I could not be more pleased with the work he and Cheryl did on our home. He is truly a craftsman and we will be using Godby Construction again for some chimney repair in the spring. Our property was always clean of debris at the end of the day.

As always, Jeff did excellent work. He came one day and put on the roof and the next day finished up some details. Looks great and most importantly the garage is dry inside.

Jeff did work for us before. He is a box gutter specialist and really knows his craft. Fabricated gutters on site with proper pitch and precise bends and soldered all the seams. He matched new trim and soffit to the old material. Once it is painted you won't know it is new work. Jeff is always willing to explain what he is doing and why and is honest about telling you if you need something done or not. Their prices for work are very reasonable and Cheryl is always good about returning phone calls and taking care of the business end. They are very good about respecting the property and cleaning up at the end of the day. I would recommend them highly to anyone, and I know they have done a great deal of work right in my neighborhood.

They did a very clean and tidy job and was fairly priced. Mr. Godby came personally recommended by neighbours, and I wouldn't hesitate to do likewise.

Very happy. Responsive to my initial calls and got estimate to us in a very timely manner. Estimate was in line with other estimates. Cheryl in the office was always very responsive and helpful. They did excellent work and even stayed until 9:00 one night to make the roof watertight due to impending weather. Hauled away debris every day and always kept jobsite clean. Even shingled a dormer to match the roof, though that wasn't in the original contract. Would certainly contact them again if I have any other roofing issues or any other things that they work on.
