Mr. Moody had built a brick mailbox for us in 2012 and we were very pleased with the final product. When he finished the mailbox he advised us that we had some cracks in the bricks near the front door and that he could fix them by removing them and rebuilding with new brick & mortor. We ask for an estimate and to include repairing the 2 front corners of the foundation which had pieces of concrete that had fallen off. He gave us a cost of $500.00 and we told him we would contact him in the spring of 2013. In April of 2013 we called him to come and repair the cracks and he said he would come out and look at the cracks again but he was having car trouble and would get someone to bring him out. He came out the next day and said he would return next week to do the repairs. He came the following Monday with a helper. The helper started working while Mr. Moody watched from the truck. The work took 2 days and when finished Mr. Moody stated that it would take several days to dry and that we should hose it down a couple times during that time. When I arrived home I noticed that one of the two corners of the foundation was not repaired and that the brick repair looked different. My wife told me what Mr. Moody siad about waiting a few days and hosing it down, she also told me about the helper doing the work. The brick work looks very sloppy and the mortor work uneven and not uniform, the one foundation corner that was repaired is not straight. My wife has called Mr. Moody to complain about the work but has nothad her calls returned. I believe that if Mr. Moody had done the work himself or had supervised / examined the helpers work closer that we would be satisfied.
