Then we looked at bedroom furniture such as dressers etc. While the outside of the furniture is very nice, the inside construction lacks quality as one would expect from "custom made furniture. Drawers do the ?heavy lifting?, as daily they?re pulled and pushed, filled and emptied. Drawers require special attention to assure a lifetime of trouble-free use, and just using glue and staples will not survive the test of repeated use and time. The bracing and joint construction of the box is critical. The boards should be joined with a glued dado or dovetail joint -- where the end of one board is glued into a groove cut into the other board. That joint also may be nailed or stapled. Simply using staples and glue likw Log Heads uses in the construction of drawers is sub standard and not worth the funds that they are asking. Sure, the outside of the furniture looks nice, however, the construction of the drawers is certainly not worth the prices that they ask. There are several other firms out there that have quality construction and better prices.
